    • Elegant and well made, but came with cosmetic defect.
There was a cosmetic problem with this product - the stainless steel chimney cover had a defect under protective film when I received it. I did contact the manufacturer for replacement and Andrew from Cosmo arranged shipment of the part. It took a week but I got the part. I installed the hood and I can say that I like the design of this hood very much - it's modern and minimalistic. The control knobs are straight forward and convenient. The one thing I've learned from my previous fancy Italian-made hood, that the controls must be as simple as possible and away from the direct heat, so I opted for traditional knobs instead of a touch screen. (My previous hood had a plastic switch that had deformed from heat and stopped working.) The only downside of this hood - it's loud, especially on high settings, but in my case, the duct system adds to the noise as well. The LED lights are in a cool spectrum where the rest of my under cabinets lights in the kitchen are warm. I assume for most people it won't be a problem, but something to keep in mind. If it bothers me too much – I will replace the lights with warmer LEDs. ... show more

Simple to install (hangs on an included hanger and plugs into an outlet that you can conceal inside the chimney), looks good and I like the filters more than the conventional mesh designs. Worth noting that it has six inch ductwork, I couldn't find that dimension which was the only holdup on installation. ... show more

Looks great, awesome suction power, and super great value. Highly recommend. I spent the same amount as my original design which involved a $120 cabinet and an $80 hood. This made my kitchen remodel look that much better. Installation is super easy (of course the vent stuff is always fun like legos. Just used a 7” to 6” reducer since this vent hood comes with a 6” and I had a 7” vent in the ceiling) ... show more
