As per the other reviews the rattling of the vent hood is a lot. Recommend magnets inside where the 2 sections join before placing on the wall. Clear silicone is also an option. Unless you burn something there is no reason to run the fan higher than level 1 which is at an acceptable noise level. Level 3 will clear up the air, but don’t plan on having a conversation while it is running. ... show more

It was missing several parts. The metal for the exhaust tube came smaller and did not fit. I had to use the old one I had. Brackets were missing and a couple of screws. I pretty much ended up using half of parts out of the old one.

I wanted one of these hoods ever since I saw them. I love the sleek look of them! But I didn’t love the steep price tag. I’m a DIYer and like to do things as least expensive as possible. When we moved into our home the kitchen came with an over the stove microwave. I hated that thing. It was loud and noisey. And for all the sound it made, it sucked at sucking. Our fridge ended up quitting on us so we got a new one... which eventually grew into a much needed facelift to our kitchen. So I was on the hunt for what I wanted and what I was willing to pay. This was actually on my save list for some time and for way less than other brands! It arrived on time! Package came without any dents or dings. The install was easy, all the way up until the last piece of “duct” went up...first we had the problem of our duct being in the way of the top bracket, and the second problem was getting it to not gap at the ceiling...after brainstorming I came up with a solution! Magnets!!! We secured magnets to the wall, and presto our duct is up and looks great! It works perfect! And it isn’t all that loud! I put it in one and it’s fine, and does a great job at sucking up the smell, smoke, and steam! I have a dachshund that is a huge foodie, I made bacon with the fan on, she never even came to the kitchen, because she couldn’t smell the bacon! I’m happy with my purchase! ... show more

    • Powerful ventilation for reasonable price

Arrived yesterday, installed today. First the positives: 1.Worked great.all buttons work 3 fan speeds, with high is very powerful., 2 lights in front - both worked 2. Everything came intact, well packaged. 3. Instructions were okay, enough to get the job done. Negatives: 1. The blue sticky covering ever possible surface was very time consuming to take off, please make this easier (less sticky) to take off. 2. The bracket holding the motor housing and whole unit, should have been better designed, since installing into cabinet, we had to have bracket already attached to into before screwing it in, instead of first installing the bracket and then hanging unit on bracket making leveling very difficult. It would also really be helpful, if a template (for height and screw location and leveling guidance) was included to make it easier to install. 3. The oil trap included for the motor is new for me. Not sure why the motor is going to leak oil and if so, what that means for its durability. 4. I’ll try and update this in the future and include some installation pictures ... show more

Although this is a very stylish unit, this is difficult to install. First of all the blue film that they use to protect stainless steel actually runs under bolted down parts. Making it almost impossible to remove. Next, I installed this as a ventless unit, and installing the charcoal filters is very,, very difficult. Having said that it is a beautiful unit. Also one other items, the LED panel is colored White, it is so bright you can read by it at night. Not a Plus in my opinion. And the worst thing is that their customer service line never ever picks up the telephone, they sent me a critique email in which I mentioned this and they have still not gotten back to me. ... show more
