  • Surprisingly good cooktop
Size: 30 inch
This is a great range for the price. Actually better than ones costing double. We've been using it for 2 months. It cleans easily. The grates are heavy! with heat resistant rubber feet so they always set properly (flat) on the stove top and no issues setting them on counter tops with scratching. The only issue, and other have had this, one burner is hard to light. No matter what you do, it sparks fine, gas comes out but it won't light. Researching the fix. We did notice that the chromed aluminum burner ring will get dark spots when hot grease gets on it while in use. A bit of elbow grease and a good chrome polish will fix that in a couple of minutes. The variety of burner outputs is super handy. We decided on this configuration because others told us that the layout with the burner in the middle, it's hard to use the others when in use. We can put a large pot on the big burner and still use the others. And that big burner can boil stuff fast! Yes the stainless top is thinner metal than others. Not an issue once installed. The total depth of the unit is exactly what we needed to allow for a drawer under the cooktop. So far, so good. Update: July 2018 The unit has held up well. We throw the grates (well carefully lift..they are beefy) and put them in the dishwasher to clean. No discoloring or rust thus far. We are having the same burner lighting issues others have experienced. The solution is counter intuitive. Set the burner to it's lowest setting while lighting and it works fine every time. The flame sensors are not as sensitive as we would like. If you don't hold the knob in the start position once lit, for 15 seconds, the flame will go out. Some where down the road, replacement of these with better quality flame sensors might fix this. It's minor in the scope of things. Cleaning has been easy. Lift off the grates and the burner assemblies, pull the knobs and you have an easy, accessable cleaning area. We use Windex and a sponge, wipe down with warm water and a hand towel. Occasionally I will use some stainless spray cleaner and polish. After a year of use, it still looks great. Well, accept for the area we learned not to use the scrubby side of the sponge. The unit's biggest 2 issues are: the stainless surface scratches easily and the aluminum burner rings are now black. DO NOT clean hard to get off grease or whatever, off the stainless surface with the scrubby side of your sponge. It will permanently scratch the surface. This tells me that this is not great stainless metal. The burner rings appear to be cast aluminum that is machined. Any grease that gets on them will burn in place and leave the ring spotted black. This is a bad use of materials on their part. I am going to get them power coated and that will fix the issue. The burners all work great and the big on boils a big pot of water darn fast. I brew beer and this will take hot tap water to a boil in half the time using any of the other burners...or any other stove we have had. Monster BTU output. 5 burner cooks tops always get crowded when they are less than 36" wide. But having the big burner on NOT in the middle, makes this cook top way more useable with multipul post and pans going at once. ... show more

  • Was skeptical, but glad I did purchased
Size: 30 inch
Purchased this a 3 years ago and it still works great. It is nice to have 5 burners that burn at different BTUs. At family gatherings we often have 4 burners going at the same time. After all these years it still looks nice. The only downside is the grates are a little wide and it is hard to put small pans on them so you have to do a balancing act to keep them from spilling over. I used a handy man to install it and he got it working with a little bit of effort, took him about 90 mins. I hardly write reviews and waited a few years to make sure it continued to work as described. Very happy overall. ... show more

  • Great Looking and Performing Cooktop
Size: 36 inch Italian Made Burners
Nothing to dislike, much to praise. Burners are first class, lots of heat and adjust easily. Stainless top cleans more easily than any oven or cooktop I've ever had or used. Installation is fast and without complaints. Truly a fantastic addition to any kitchen. Best buy ever!

  • Very nice cooktop but the user manual lacks some information
Size: 30 inch
This is an excellent quality cooktop. Easy to install and very easy to convert to propane. I gave it 4 stars because they do not include the required and very specialized low flame (simmer flame) adjusting screwdriver. This would not have been a huge deal except for the fact the Amazon listing, the instructions, and the user manual do not include any information regarding the type and size of the required screwdriver, which is definitely not a common size. It turns out you will need a 1.5mm slotted (flat tip) screwdriver with a shaft diameter of 1.5mm and a shaft length of at least 50mm. These very specific shaft size requirements are not common in most jeweler's or mini screwdriver sets. So when purchasing this cooktop (which really is quite nice) you will need to be sure to also obtain the correct screwdriver if you want to properly set the low (simmer) burner settings. ... show more

  • I like the blue fire
Size: 30 inch
Pro: I like the blue fire and the safety feature of the knob. The fire is blue and strong. you will take some time to get used to the knob. You have to keep pushing it down for few second after the fire is on, if you release too fast, the fire will go off. I guess that is the safety feature. To avoid the kids to play it. Con, one corner lift up a little bit, I have to use the bar/screw to hold it down, I think it is the quality control issue. The connection used kind gasket seal (between the box and the elbow, make it feel unsafe The connection is 3/4" and my old cook top is 1/2", I have to find the adapter. Wish, the big fire should be on the center instead of left side, that could make the hood sock the hot air easily. The knob should have some kind of shelter to avoid the food spill on them. In conclusion, it worth the money ... show more

  • Awful product. Poor craftsmanship.
Size: 30 inch
This is the worst product and company I have ever dealt with. I chose this product after a lot of research and felt like the reviews were positive, and I liked that we were supporting a smaller company in the US because my hope was that with a smaller company there would be more attention to detail with the product and it wouldn’t be so mass produce as with some of the larger companies who mass produce thousands per day. When we installed the cooktop we realized that the grates we were given that were “brand new” already were scratched and rusted. I contacted customer service who sent out a new set of grates. Those also arrived rusted, scratched, and missing the rubber feet that prevent scratches on the actual cooktop. It was obvious the grates have been used and returned by someone else. I have no idea why, but I agreed to let them send out a third set of grates. Those arrived yesterday and one was in good condition and able to be used, but the second wasn’t even for the size of cooktop that I have. They sent 2 completely different sizes and didn’t even check. Clearly, this company lacks pride in their product and service. I would say the cooktop works OK but not as powerful as I thought with the super burner. It is also a complete pain to clean. Even with a microfiber cloth it still looks streaky. We’re now planning to spray the grates with a high heat stove spray paint so they don’t corrode and continue to rust immediately, but we will only keep it for maybe the next 5 to 6 months and then replace. I would do it now but after a full kitchen right remodel we need a bit of a break. Sadly, you truly get what you pay for on this product. I would give it zero stars if possible. ... show more

  • Great value, curved cooktop
Size: 30 inch
For $450, this stainless steel cooktop came at a great value! Shipping was next day. All the important components were shipping with the cooktop (including propane conversion and instruction booklet). My only main con with the product is that it came curved and not completely straight. When we dropped it into the countertop, there was a obvious dip in the middle. Aesthetically, its a no no, but I guess I am getting what I paid for? Structurally, it also doesn't feel very strong. I haven't used all the burners with pots of water, etc. It could be supported to also help with the curvature problem. Functionality wise, all the pilots light up which is a little funky, but of course the gas only comes out of the burner that you are igniting. Otherwise, everything burned beautifully. For construction purposes: 3/4" gas inlet and 3 prong plug for the pilot towards the back right underside. The cooktop is only 2" thick. For a beginner home upgrade project, this was worth the money. ... show more

  • We replaced a Viking cooktop with this and it’s great!
Size: 30 inch
Super happy with this. Excellent product for the price. Although the middle surface flexes a little with some weight, It doesn’t really affect the amazing performance. The 2 bigger burners are super hot and boil water super fast. They also work great for browning and searing meat. It actually outperformed the Viking we replaced it with. Our old 30” Viking only had 4-burners with the knobs on the right side. The two hottest burners were placed side by side so we couldn’t really cook well with 2 burners at a time because it’s too crowded. This Cosmo stovetop has the knobs on the bottom which allows for more space for extra pots or pans. ... show more

  • Good for stir frying!
Size: 30 inch
We purchased the 'item returned' option. Someone else had clearly tried to install this cooktop in their home. The packing wasn't new, but the unit did arrive in OK condition. The powder coating on one of the burner covers was scraped off. This did not affect it's use. I had to change from natural gas to LP fuel. The LP orifice kit was all there and mounted easily with teflon pipe dope for a lubricant. After I modified the regulator per included instructions she fired up 'blue' the first time! I love the large 16K btu burner for stir frying with my wok. ... show more
