  • GREAT LITTLE STOOL
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL little 2-step stool. Fits perfect with my grey, black & stainless steel decor. Folds neatly between cabinets and appliances. Just the right size. All I had to do was take it out of the box, ready to go. Caution for weight over 225# in my opinion. Only concern. I have larger 3-step but bulky and hard to manage (for petite ladies) , just what I needed. ... show more

  • Best step stool
Rugged and stable. Love the latch/lock which works both when folded up and when open. I use this step stool in all weathers to reach our birdfeeders, and I never once have worried about it tipping.

  • I love these stools!
These stools are a "must have". The are so handy for all kinds of uses. To get to high places and can be used as a seat at a table. Easily put away, cart around and a stable stepping stool.

  • Short Girl Review - FANTASTIC
Coming from a short girls perspective I love this step stool! I do not know why I have waited and suffered for so long, but I love this stool! One thing in particular that I love is the locking mechanism, I am so very happy that there is a lock on the tip step that you can hear click into place as well as physically pull or push into place to let you know that that stool will not fold on you, even though it is only two steps having a stool fold up on you does not make your day any better, so this was a fantastic plus as to why I love this stool. The second is the grooves in the steps so that they are not too slippery that I will just slide right off with each step, and once it is folded up it is nice and flat and can slip right up against the wall without sticking out and catching you as you are walking by or you can tuck it away in a closet leaving plenty of room for other stuff without taking up a lot of room. Highly recommend from a short girls perspective and review. ... show more

  • A good step ladder but not Cosco's best IMHO
I am typically a fan of Cosco products. I think this is the 3rd ladder type thingy I've purchased of theirs. This is an okay step stool. Definitely not their usual standard to my mind. I looked all over for a weight limit and couldn't find one. We have users hovering around the 200 mark so weight limit is an important consideration. Finally found the answer while searching amazon.... 200 pounds is the limit. It is also not quite as high as I thought it would be. Its not bad, but it just seems a little low. This is likely my fault in not getting a better sense of the size prior to purchasing. The material is a tad clunkier than I would have expected from a cosco product. A little heavier and all around less refined, but again, not bad. The steps are good.... a nice wide platform that you can feel secure on with non slip rubber on them for secure footing. Also, the website says that the ladder doesn't lock. I considered this a negative but purchased it anyway only to find that the steps lock in place with a little metal tab. So, is this a good step ladder? Yes, definitely good. It folds up into a nice slim profile for easy portability. Its not quite as light as I would have liked but its certainly not heavy. I think cosco has done better than this, but for the money you are getting a very decent step ladder that can be folded away and out of sight. ... show more

  • All around best purchase purchase,
Everything is above my head as a petite lady and with the passing of my husband I found it necessary to find something that would assist me in staying in our home. This small step stool does just that. It is lightweight and folds flat easily with a pull on the lever at the top. This allows it to be placed anywhere that is convenient for me. I have a multi-level home and it is so easy for me to carry this step stool up and down my steps. The leg ends are of a hard plastic material which causes me to be cautious on my tiled kitchen floor. So far I have not had any slippage problem with the step stool. However I would not recommend using it on a wet surface. Nor is it safe for stretching across, or up on toes to help in reaching anything. I learned this when I was reaching across my kitchen counter sink in order to remove a window screen for cleaning. The stool wanted to move on me due to it's light weight. I then took the time to adjust the stool position and I had no further problems. I know I have said a lot but I felt if you were taking the time to read this, then I wanted to be as helpful as possible. ... show more

  • I can now reach the top shelf!
Pros: As someone 5'5, a lot of shelves and the Bay Windows with locks on top of the pane in my kitchen are not the easiest to reach without some counter climbing. I don't have to do that anymore. It's easy to put away. Cons: The little knob to help you collapse the stool is helpful but doesn't feel the most sturdy. Additionally, I weigh 150 lbs and the steps don't feel as sturdy as the metal stool I used to have. I don't worry about it breaking with me on it (yet) but just something to make note of. It also made me not feel as solid on the stool because of the lack of strength on the steps to where I felt particularly more wobbly. Keeping it because it gets the job done, but if you're taller than me or wishing to utilize it for things other than reaching the top shelf (i.e. changing a lightbulb), then I would not recommend it. ... show more
