  • Headband is small :'(
I love this headset! I'm coming from a set of astro a50 gen2's. The astros headband is slightly bigger than these but give me massive headaches :/. These barely fit on my head. So I wish the band had a few more clicks left for adjustment. Anyways sound wise they are decent. Pretty detailed sounding although they lack in the bass department. For reference I use fostex 6xx mahogany's from drop. They don't sound as good as my fostex but they sound better than my Astros. Everything sounds clear without being exaggerated. I love being able to take calls and still have audio from whatever the dongles plugged in to. The microphone blows my astro a50's mic out of the water. I finally sound clear vs sounding like a walkie talkie. Construction is great. Mostly metal and very sturdy. Ear cups feel great although they can get your ears pretty warm. Some more breathable pads may help here. The carrying case is ok. Wish it was a little bigger so putting away the headphones didn't require shoving them in. But it was my choice to use the case. I do appreciate having magnets on the flap for it And the little inner pouch for wires, dongle, and mic. Definitely would pick it up used vs paying full price though. ... show more

  • Corsair support is awesome
UPDATE: Reached out to Corsair support even though it was out of warranty and they replaced it for free. 10/10 support. Not worth. The battery life after a few months went down to 8-12 hours. Had to replace the ear cuffs 8 months in because they broke off. And I don’t do any crazy things while wearing my headset. Most I do is walk down some stairs while wearing it. And 16 months in the microphone stopped working entirely. Replaced the mic. Still doesn’t work. All I get is some random intermittent crackling feedback when I move or speak into the mic, even when the headset isnt connected to anything. I had the old model and it was really good. Lasted for years. This one just hasn’t been it. The battery life is worse, the range is worse, and the quality of parts.. is worse ... show more

  • So happy with my purchase
I am ranking this headset with 4 stars instead of 5 because I purchased the iCUE version and there are issues with iCUE. If Corsair fixes my issues with iCUE, my rating will go up to 5 stars. Comfort: The original earcups are a bit shallow. Thankfully, you can buy thicker replacement earcups here on Amazon for only a small extra charge. I chose replacements with velvet touching my head to reduce sweating issues and vinyl outer shells to keep out outside sounds. Noise Cancellation: These are not noise canceling headphones. They are over-ear headphones that completely enclose your ears inside the earcups. Outside noise reduction is mainly done by your earcups. I am quite satisfied with the level of noise reduction by these headphones, but again, they are not active noise-canceling headphones. Sound quality: Your sound quality will depend on the method of connection. - If you cable to your source using the headphone jack, you'll get the best possible sound quality. - If you use the wireless receiver, you'll get excellent sound quality - If you use the bluetooth capability, you'll get very good sound quality, but perhaps not quite as good as the other options. Lag: This will depend on your computer and the software you're using for sound. I use this headset primarily with Microsoft Teams and find that there is very little lag when using the wireless receiver. Lag is slightly greater using the bluetooth connection. Range: - The provided USB-A to USB-C cable is 2m long. When using it, you're tethered to your workstation. - If you use a 3-channel headphone cable, you may be able to increase your range while remaining tethered. - I will not discuss any options for 3rd-party cable extension adaptations because they will depend on the product. - The USB wireless receiver is excellent, but doesn't provide great range or good through-the-walls capability. I can move away from my workstation maybe 10m or so in open air and maybe 4m through walls. When I originally purchased the headset, the microphone's wireless range was only 2m in open air, but after an update in 2021, this appears to be mostly resolved. - Bluetooth gives the greatest range. It's better in open air and through the walls by about half. Multiple connectivity: I've used these headphones in wireless mode with both the wireless adapter and bluetooth connections active simultaneously to different sources. I typically connect bluetooth to my phone or to a second workstation, while I use the USB wireless adapter with my primary workstation. I can use them simultaneously. My only issues are remembering to mute the conversation that I don't want to be talking to. I haven't tried tethered multiple connectivity and cannot provide any review on it. Modes: - USB Cabled mode: This headset cannot charge while wireless turned on. It charges quickly, but there have been times when I needed to switch to the USB cable when my battery was low. - Headphone Cabled mode: I haven't tried this mode enough to describe how and when it works. - Wireless mode: The USB wireless adapter is automatically used (if it's connected to a device) when the headphones are turned to wireless mode. Bluetooth can be turned on while the headphones are turned to wireless mode. The headphones will connect to a bluetooth device while also connected to another device via the USB wireless adapter. I consider this to be a useful feature. iCUE: It's great when it works. My workstation is an HP ZBook-16 portable workstation running Windows 10 and I typically put it in sleep mode overnight. I use iCUE to adjust the lighting settings on the headset to minimal lighting to extend battery life (only the mic turns red when it's muted). iCUE works well immediately after reboot, but it goes into an unrecoverable state when the workstation resumes from sleep and its functions fail. Again, if Corsair will fix the iCUE issue, I'll give this product 5 stars. ... show more

  • Wireless issues, poor RMA, cracked microphone
PROS: Fit is perfect, cushion is comfortable Bluetooth while using wireless works great Removeable mic sounds great Audio sounds great CONS: Wireless connection issues Poor RMA process RMA Sent back with a mic that has physical defects/peeling Love these headphones, but the amount of problems i'm having with them is brutal. If i use them wirelessly, they cut out constantly. so i leave them plugged in constantly, which is bull, because i paid almost 300 bucks for some wireless gaming headphones, i should be able to use them wirelessly. So i contacted support, which determined i needed to do an RMA. BUT they made me send my headphones in FIRST. so then I was out of headphones for 2 weeks while they verify and send new headphones back. I got the RMA Headphones back, and within a week, the microphone is externally cracked. Still works great, but why do i have 300 dollar headphones that can't handle normal wear and tear? I am incredibly disappointed, and will likely not go with Corsair for audio. Which is sad, because the rest of my gaming peripherals are Corsair. ... show more

  • Great Headset, High Quality
As someone who does a lot of work and gaming, I was looking for a versatile wireless headset that could serve all my needs. I found that in the Corsair Virtuoso. Straight out of the box the quality is very apparent from the packaging to the accessories that come with it. I was really surprised with the fabric storage bag. The battery life is great, and I can walk almost across my entire house while still maintaining signal. It pairs well with other Bluetooth devices and you can switch pretty easily between your computer and phone. After two years of use, the ear padding is flawless, which I can’t say about other headsets I’ve purchased in the past. If I ever needed another headset, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this pair again. ... show more

  • Excellent features and sound
I bought this as a replacement for my old Sennheisers and so far they are blowing them out of the water. The sound quality is superb. The highs and mids are crystal clear with no tinny artifacts. The lows are rich and full. Out of the box, the profile is a tad bit flat, but the EQ in the app allows you to easily remedy that. These are very comfortable as well, which will be important for long gaming sessions. They aren't too heavy, but aren't too light either. They grip nicely but don't put too much pressure on your head/ears. The earcups are plenty wide so your entire ear fits inside, giving you a nice seal. This helps with noise cancellation and also helps with sound quality. And let's not forget the mic! These have the best mic I have ever heard on a headset. It's unbelievably clear and is comparable to many free standing mics. They don't call it "broadcast quality" for nothing. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase. The only real negative I can share is that they used fake leather on the earcups. Fake leather doesn't breathe and can cause your ears to get hot after a while. Plus, it's prone to eventually flaking/cracking. Thankfully, there are brands like Wicked Cushions that make awesome replacement earcups for this headset so you can go that route if you don't want the fake leather. ... show more

  • Not Worth It
I want to like these headphones, I really do. But man are they a massive disappointment. They are comfortable, look nice, and have decent sound quality. However, the massive downside is the connectivity. On Bluetooth or through the dongle the connection is very spotty even when sitting within a few feet. The wireless range is also abysmal. My One Plus earbuds have at least twice the range as these. The only way to get reliable sound that isn't constantly breaking up is to connect the headphones to USB, but then what's the point of spending so much money if you're forced to use them as wired headphones? ... show more
