  • I wanted to love this keyboard
Let me preface by saying I never had an issue with ICUE despite all the stories online. Their web based hub for this new keyboard is 100 times worse than ICUE. Slow, needs to be constantly refreshed. Changes getting stuck endlessly loading. They keyboard feels amazing, if it wasn't for the 9, 0, shift, and spacebar getting stuck and continuously repeating. This is after calibrating the keyboard twice, moving switches around to make sure it wasn't a faulty switch, and changing the actuation point so it is much higher than the 2.0 that comes from corsair. If those keys are already having issues out of the box, i cant imagine how the whole keyboard will be a month or year later. Overall very disappointed in this product, but not surprised from corsair's track record. (Typing this review from my 9 year old Logitech keyboard I had to plug back in) ... show more

  • Might be one of the best gaming keyboards yet!
The media could not be loaded. This might just be one of the best gaming keyboards I have ever used! I have I have 3 other $200+ keyboards (Logitech, HyperX, Razer) and this outshines all of those with the features that this one provides. It uses a 96% layout, the standard/typical RGB lights and a small full-color display in the upper right corner. Typing on this keyboard feels really good. The key presses are smooth without any clicks or snaps. I did add a short video clip but the clicks in the video are much louder than real life, where they’re actually fairly quiet. The whole keyboard itself feels really well made and has some heft to it. There’s also a wrist rest that attaches via magnets. When it comes to customization, it feels like nearly everything can be configured to EXACTLY how you want. You’ll need to install the web-enabled Corsair Web Hub app (ie. An app that runs in your web browser, no separate installers needed). A few examples of what you can configure are the RGB light patterns, key assignments, macros and text for each key press. You can also set the trigger points on each key press. It’s called Actuation Points and depending on how far you press a key down (configurable), you can have it do different actions (configurable). You’re allowed to set 2 Actuation Points per key. There’s a small screen in the upper right corner. There are a few built-in images/animations and you are allowed to upload your own. It looks like from the web hub, you can only upload images at the moment. I think this version of the web hub is new since the older desktop app allowed you to upload animations as well (I think?). The display is really nice but the issue I have with it is that it sits flush to the surface of the keyboard. That means in order to view it in its entirety, you need to lean forward so you can look down on it. It would have been better if the display was elevated and tilted towards you. There are 5 customizable keys on the left side, integrated into the keyboard. You can configure what they do via the web hub and their positioning is actually really nice since you won’t “accidentally” bump a key when they’re raised and level with the other keys. Speaking of which, there’s an included tool if you need to remove/replace any of the keys. There’s no spare keys included, but the tool is there if you need it. Overall, this is a really well-made keyboard that provides a TON of customization options. I only listed a few but there’s a ton more. ... show more

  • DOES NOT CONNECT WITH iCUE Software. Will not integrate with your existing lighting effects.
I have 6+ corsair iCue devices in my system. They all work with the iCue software to do the fancy color stuff, etc. This keyboard does NOT get configured using that software. This keyboard requires you to close that software and configure it through some Web Hub browser app. You cannot use the iCue software to match it with all your existing corsair products. This means that any lighting effects will not be seamless between the two different systems. Box it came in claims it works with iCue.. Stupid. I'm returning it. ... show more

  • Overall Rating: 8.5/10
The Keyboard itself is very high quality and the switches are made well. I like that a keycap puller and a switch puller were included in the box. The on screen display allows for some cool customization of the keyboard and is a good visualization tool for the current config of the keyboards polling rate, caps lock, etc. The complaints I have are more so pertaining towards the software. You do not use iCue for this, as you would with other Corsair products. Instead you have to use a web app called Corsair Web Hub. Although the tool is fine and is easy to understand, I have had issues where it would not detect the keyboard or would lag. Other than that, I am used to typing with Cherry MX Red switches and sound and feel wise, these are a little heavier, think a mix between CMX Reds and CMX Blacks. The adjustable activation depth is very nice and allows me to customize the keyboard to have profiles for work and gaming. As a software engineer, this keyboard is perfect for me. The ten key numpad is a learning point for me though as I am used to using 75% and 65% keyboards, but this keyboard manages to still be compact and takes up a footprint that is a little larger than my Keychron V1. ... show more

  • Quite a nice keyboard
This is a super high quality gaming keyboard. It's quite heavy and built well. It's not too clacky and in fact is so quiet that I wondered if it would be effective at first. But somehow they have figured it out. For gaming it is very responsive and there have been no issues with missing simultaneous keystrokes. I like how it's bigger than some of the compact ones. So yes, this is a very expensive keyboard, but if you are serious about your gaming and can afford it, it's a great keyboard. ... show more
