  • Surprisingly GREAT?!
Color: Black
Want a 36g mouse with no bloatware and light crispy clicks? Want a scroll wheel button that's spammable? Yeah this one is it. It's great but there's a bit of sacrifice when it comes to bringing it down to 36g. Cons: -For starters, there's no DPI button for quick dpi changes. (Probably for weight) -There's no Bluetooth, just wired @1kHZ and 2.4g @ 8k polling rate. (Probably for weight) -The side buttons are the same as your typical Corsair mouse, mushy & lots of pretravel. PROS: -36grams, and evenly balanced. -Web-based software, so no extra downloads to your computer. -One of the best switches on a mouse PERIOD. -No stuttering, reliable 4k & 8k performances. Things to note: The sensor isn't directly in the middle of the mouse, it's sitting towards the bottom, not a deal breaker but something that's need to be mentioned. I love this mouse so far, battery is OKAY, not great but something that can be overlooked at this weight. Considering all the other offerings from Logitech, Razer, & Pulsar with lightweight mice that's costing closer to $200. Having a enthusiast/pro mouse for under $100 is a great thing to see again. 4.5/5 stars. ... show more

  • Great lightweight mouse, receiver design and lack of instructions could be improved.
Color: Black
This review comes down to my overall preference for a gaming mouse. Overall, I feel the mouse is of solid quality, but there were some things I didn’t like, which kept me from giving it a full 5 stars. As always with Corsair, the mouse came packaged neatly, and nothing was damaged. We prefer Corsair products in our household, and they didn’t let us down by ensuring the mouse arrived in great condition. Right out of the box, the mouse was exactly as advertised, it’s seriously ultralight. This is great for a fingertip mouse user like myself. The response time is excellent, the scroll wheel performance is superb, and they managed to keep the weight minimal while maintaining a strong structure. I don’t hear any creaking or cracking, as if something might break. Setting up the DPI was a bit weird, and I had to look up tutorials since I’m used to DPI controls being on the mouse itself. However, it was easy to figure out after watching a video. The box includes an 8KHz USB wireless receiver, a USB Type-C to Type-A cable, grip tape, mouse skates, and a safety leaflet. Here’s where I had some reservations about the design choices. There are no instructions included in the box—not even a QR code to scan for online guidance. You have to search for them yourself, which isn’t a huge deal but is a customer service drawback. The extra pads are really nice, as I have fingers that don’t grip well, so I needed to install mine. If you’re like me, I suggest using tweezers to help align the grip tape. The adhesive has some give, so if I misaligned a pad, I could pull it off and try again. I would’ve liked to see some information on the mouse skates and grip tape, as someone unfamiliar with these might not know the best way to install them. The 8KHz USB wireless receiver was completely new to me. I’m used to a dongle that snaps into the side of my laptop or computer. I had to watch a YouTube video to understand the clip design, which is meant to plug into your device via the included USB Type-C to Type-A cable and clip to your mousepad for close-range response time. This isn’t practical for laptop use during travel, as I don’t carry a large gaming mousepad. At home, I could use the clip on my mousepad, but I wish they’d made the clip removable or included an adapter to plug directly into the laptop without the cable. This is a preference, but a removable clip would’ve been a good middle ground. At least the cable is high quality. Overall, I’ll use the mouse, and I’m glad Corsair offers a lightweight option at a decent mid-pack price point. There are some improvements to be made, so I can’t rate it 5 stars ... show more

  • Corsair Web Hub does not support Firefox
Color: Black
Review of B0FKJ2J2R8 Corsair Sabre v2 PRO Gaming Mouse: Corsair is an American company founded about 30 years ago. I've been in computers longer than that and I remember when they came on the scene. They've always focused on high performance, sometimes specialized performance equipment. So when I saw this mouse being introduced, I knew it could be a serious contender. Although I've been working full time in the computer industry for decades, I've never been a gamer. I bet it's fun, but I quickly realized it can be addictive and I've just never had the time. However, I take notice anytime I see any product designed for gamers because I know that it will be designed for high performance and usually have some extra features. I work with a computer extensively, not only for routine things but using design software requiring high precision. Here are a few of this mouse's selling points: • Lightweight -- I've never had such a light mouse, and now the benefits of a lightweight mouse are now obvious to me. I use somewhere between a claw and fingertip grip. After experiencing how easily and effortlessly a featherweight mouse moves around, I now understand the advantage of a light weight mouse. • High precision sensor and high frequency polling -- the increased precision and responsiveness are readily apparent. • High quality mechanical switches -- they do feel like solid quality, like they will last a while. I don't know if it's the light weight or better skates, but this mouse moves around quite effortlessly on my mouse pad compared to any previous mouse. The listing should explain to users why the wireless dongle does not plug directly into a USB port as most dongles do -- I've seen this technique used in other high performance mice. Many computers are under or to the side the desk and the mouse receiver is plugged into the back of the computer putting it some distance from the mouse with lots of obstruction in between. Placing this receiver at the end of a cable allows it to be placed near the mouse on top of the desk to ensure maximum reception and lowest latency. Also, if the mouse battery suddenly dies, you can quickly unplug the USB-C cable from the receiver and plug it directly into the mouse and use it as a wired mouse while simultaneously charging the mouse. Comes with a very nice braided cable with USB color code Yellow, which means power delivery is always on even if the computer is turned off. My tests show it delivers USB 2.0 data speed (which is easily sufficient for a mouse) and can deliver up to 13 Watts of power. It's 6 feet long, which should easily reach from a USB 2.0 port on the back of the computer, up the back of the desk so the receiver can be placed on top of the desk behind the mouse pad, and so the power will be readily available for recharging the mouse. Plugging into a USB 3.0 or higher power does not improve performance, which is why most computers still come with USB 2.0 ports for mouse and keyboard. The included cable is perfectly suited for this specific use. To keep the mouse weight low, the battery inside the mouse must also be lightweight which necessarily means lower capacity. The specs say the internal battery is 3.7V/210mAh and a charge lasts 70 hours, which is about 3 days of constant use. I don't know how the mouse idle time affects its run time, but I am taking no precautions, such as turning it off when not in use, so I'll be interested to see how long the battery lasts in normal use without turning it off. I've been using it for a couple days now and it still indicates it has a full charge. Specs don't indicate time to charge, but it would be easy to just move the cable from the receiver to the mouse when you're through for the day and let it charge overnight. I frequently change mouse resolution. The resolutions of this mouse can be precisely set using Corsair Web Hub, but, thankfully, can also be changed by pressing the right button and back button simultaneously for 3 seconds to cycle through the 5 default resolutions. The resolution is messaged by the color flashed by an LED under the scroll wheel. That's better than no method, but I prefer the button most mice have just behind the scroll wheel which changes the resolution instantly and easily. Indication on mouse: "Product of Vietnam, further processed in China" CRITICISM: No manual in package, and only a very sparse quick-start guide is available online. Firefox browser is specifically not supported for Corsair Web Hub configuration (possibly because Firefox blocks many intrusive identifications). I prefer to use Firefox for this very reason, and I don't like having to fire up other browsers just to please one website. PRAISE: No plastics used in packaging. I give this mouse 4.7 stars, the mouse works great, but some deductions because of poor documentation and lack of Firefox support. ... show more
