I want to make this quick so let me just clear some things very quick, my rig has never come near to using the full 850 watts, so I wouldn’t know how it performs under heavy work loads. Also, I live in Cali, so temps are around 75-85 here on average, so I don’t know how it performs in really hot environments. Now, that being out of the way, I wanted to say this is a great PSU. For one, I’ve owned it for about 4 years and haven’t had any noise complaints because it’s very quiet. This next part is VERY IMPORTANT to me and should be for you as well. About 5 months ago, my PSU began having problems and would randomly shut off, I contacted customer support and let them know, they replied fairly quickly and were nice. This power supply was overkill for my first pc build. I wanted to ensure I had enough power to support future upgrades. Plus the price is right. Its currently powering a Ryzen 3800x and Nvidia 2080 super. It fit perfectly in a Lian li 011 dynamic case. From what I can tell the fan rarely has to run, and when it does I cant hear it. Have to put my hand over the vent to check. I'm not even close to stressing it though. The cables are nicely wrapped and are all black. It comes with more than you will probably ever need. Replaced a very old power supply. The fan on the Corsair RM1000x comes on when the power supply is delivering over 400 Watts, and it hasn't come on in the first month of use. This full modular power supply, properly installed, has no unused cables. Lots of reserved power in a standard ATX power supply form factor. I've had my Rig running 24/7 with this new PSU since Dec 17th 2020 with no problems! I upgraded the cables that came with it, looks at pics, for the upgraded Corsair cables that cost $99 extra & it was so worth it. I game, web browse & media stream for hours at a time many days of the week. I currently have a GTX 1080 Video Card BUT will soon be upgrading to a RTX 3080. This PSU will be able to provide all the power I need for the devices listed below & in the future for any upgrades, I recommend this product highly. My current specs are the following. I've built my own PCs for a couple of decades plus; get a better computer for less money and I pick the components I want. All around good. This time, my 500w power supply worked for a few years and then started throwing out last-gasp power problems. Once I'd determined that my PCs problems WERE the power supply, I went looking. This make caught my eye--most reviews online were positive--and I picked the higher-end power supplied. So far it's like my few-years-old PC is a young punk again. Right now I've got all ten internal devices (plus high-end AMD video card) plugged in and no problems anywhere. I originally bought this power supply to power two gtx 1080 ti's, but decided that I only really needed one. I was debating returning this back for a partial refund but the quality was just so much better than my last power supply (not to mention that it stays silent most of the time). I can't speak for efficiency or anything of that sort, but if you're worried about it failing on you, I would like to put your mind at ease. This power supply has been running good for the past few weeks and I haven't noticed any signs of failure. Very easy to install, super quiet, comes with every single fully modular cable imaginable. Does it's job perfectly and reliably (I've had very good luck with Corsair products) Only note is some of the cables are VERY stiff and not easily bent, also as they are very thick cables it may make cable management difficult if you don't have enough space on the backside of your case. ... show more

Good power supply that works well with high end components (Ryzen 5950X with a RTX 3080). Under load, my power pull hit 750 watts sustained and the PSU had no problems handling it. The PSU doesn't make much noise and was easy to install. My only complaint with this power supply was with the provided power cable. Rather than providing a 3 pin grounded power cable, a 2 pin power cable with a grounding wire was provided (picture provided). Not really a problem since I have lots of 3 pin power cables, but why include such a specialized cable that won't work with most household outlets. If someone were to make the mistake of using this cable on a standard household plug and didn't connect the ground wire, it would present a fire hazard. There are a lot of reviews stating that the power supply stopped working or burned out components on their motherboard. I suspect that this may be the reason. ... show more
