    • Excellent RAM if you have an AM5 processor. Fixed a ton of issues for me.

I bought a prebuilt PC with a 7800x3D a few weeks back and have had some issues with it. Games would sometimes run into a problem where the average FPS was very high and the bottom 1% was always like 19 FPS, which obviously turns a game into a stuttery mess. I fixed this by turning on AMD Expo for the RAM that came installed on my system (T Force Delta 6000MT), but then some of my games constantly crashed and I would sometimes get a blue screen of death. After days and days of trying to figure out what the hell was going on, I ran some stability stress tests on my PC and, surprise surprise, T Force Delta isn't well suited to Expo. With Expo on, the tests threw error after error after error and sometimes crashed my PC entirely. The RAM was able to pass these tests with Expo off, but then I was back where I started with tons of graphical glitches. I had four choices: stick with the horrid RAM, ask for replacement RAM from the manufacturer (which would probably just get me another set of T Force Delta), return the PC altogether, or replace the cheap RAM with something better. Enter Corsair. I read that Dominator Platinum is fine-tuned for AM5, so I took a shot with these. I installed them and ran a stress test again. No failures. Then I turned on Expo to squeeze a little more performance out of them, then ran stress tests again. No errors, no failures. This RAM is stable as Gene Wilder's hands in Blazing Saddles, and from a basic performance perspective it's fantastic. I'm getting almost 10FPS more on average than I was with the T Force Delta in the same games (even though theoretically applying Expo to the T Force should have put it more or less on par with my new Dominator Platinum RAM). And to sweeten the deal, my bottom 1% never drops to an unacceptable level and, with Expo on, is up to 20FPS faster than it was with my T Force in the same games (testing mainly with the Witcher 3 and Call of Duty Warzone 2). I haven't had any blue screens of death. Even my computer's render latency was halved in the Witcher 3, which was where I was seeing the most issues from my unstable T Force Expo setup. Basically, this RAM is all you could ever want for a super easy install with plug-and-play functionality. If you don't want the hassle of figuring out overclocks on your own and just want a damn PC that works simply by turning it on, this is a fantastic option for a machine with an AM5 chipset. Probably overkill; however, who cares. These are awesome. Only gripe is the iCUE software. Since these are Hybrid modules that contain both XMP and EXPO profiles, iCUE will throw an error stating both profiles are enabled and all you can do is control the LED functions. Other than that, upgrading to these solved the memory issues I was having with another brand that would cause random reboots even when the system sat idle overnight. No issues running EXPO I, EXPO II, or EXPO Tweaked. ... show more

Upgraded from Gskill 32 Gb 6000MHz to future proof PC for MSFS 2024 and any other similar titles. I found the previous memory on the EXPO profile would often have longggg (minutes) boot times for memory retraining etc. It was stable once running however. This memory has been a game changer with fast boot times (somewhere around 30-40 seconds to windows on avg) @ 6000 MHz on its loaded EXPO profile. Kudos to Corsair! ... show more

It's been a week since I got this ram kit and I have not had any issues at all, it works perfectly fine. I got the 64GB kit. The only catch for me (and maybe this only applies to me) is that when I enable XMP/EXPO in bios, after I save and reboot, it takes almost as long as 5 minutes for my PC to boot up. When this first happened I thought I had a bad kit. After a minute or two, I would power it off, try different slots, 1 ram stick at a time in different slots and it wouldn't boot. On my final attempt, I put them back on A2B2 and powered it on only to be met with a black screen again. I left it on and was on my phone trying to look up possible causes. After what seemed like 5 minutes, it booted up. This only happens one the first boot after enabling XMP/EXPO. Every boot after it's been enabled, my PC boots up normally within 10-15 seconds. ... show more
