I had given up on reusing any garden shears as they can’t be sharpened by the local knife sharpening companies as they don’t open to 90 degrees or more. I saw this sharpener when looking for new garden cutting tools and decided this was worth the gamble. And I’m sooooo glad I did! This is amazing! I’ve used it on kitchen knives, scissors, garden implements, etc… basically anything with a blade. And I am not strong nor big yet I can use this just fine, I typically do more than the 4-5 passes recommended because of this. I bought this along with a Corona BP7100 pruner. I've used it several times. It's a good way to touch-up and keep the blade sharp after some heavy cutting. It works as intended. Although, for some, getting the angle/bevel right on the blade and the "stroking" motion along the blade may take some practice. ... show more

It's so good to have out in the field that if one does not know about it, there's no point in a review. It is a must for all pruning enthusiasts. A device that has no Operating System, no batteries needed and works like a champ. Just get it!
