I was surprised by the weight of this initially when I first opened the box. The clamp kit is hefty and solid, which bodes well for its durability. The carrying case is a very nice feature, keeping everything organized and making storage convenient. The clamps easily attach to my project, as long as you are using wood under a certain dimension (which for the purpose this serves, you generally wouldn't be using high thickness wood). The clamps were relatively easy to use, though I'd love to see some sort of protective material on the surface that touches the wood, just enough to protect it from the metal. I have wanted a set of these clamping squares for a while but quite honestly the price has kept me from buying. I drummed up the courage and purchased a set to try out. Now, I have a rather robust variety of clamps, bar clamps, pipe clamps, quick grip, clamps, corner clamps, homemade clamps etc…. As far as corner joints and butt joints: The original corner clamp was my first go-to. The only draw back is when using the clamp on the bottom or base, it is hard to tighten the t-style screws. It can be used on top as well which does make it easier, but I find myself twisting it around several time to figure which way it goes. My homemade wood square with clamp is simple to use and of course the price is right. The drawback is, the cut has to be perfectly square and being made from wood, it can get damaged. You also have to use another type of clamp to secure a joint. Using a bar or pipe clamp, it does take a little longer to get the perfect joint. I found the metal Clamping Squares to be very easy to use. They are the best and fastest at putting a joint together and adjusting to get the perfect fit. No worries about being square with the solid aluminum frame and no other clamp needed. My overall take on these Clamping Squares is I really like them and is my NEW go-to joint clamp. BUT, I do believe the price is a little high and I would only purchase again if I had a great sale or price reduction.

I purchased these to square up book cases. The 1 X 12 X 8s used for this project were not straight and I didn't have many options to correct that. These right angle clamps helped square up the corners and kept the shelves level. They freed up my hands, simplifying the use of pocket hole screws. The aluminum is high quality with metric and imperial markings. They are easy to place on the project. Tightening the knobs pulls the corners together flush, much the same way pocket hole screws pull two sides together. The clamps are also a handy way to verify 90 degree corners on any project. They work on interior, T type angles, and outside angles equally well. I almost purchased clamps that wouldn't have worked on the T type interior angles and am glad I checked. This is a well made, well designed and well thought out product. It solves a common woodworking problem.

I've built several woodworking projects over the past few years and this product would have been a great tool to have. These corner clamps are sturdy and high quality, very square and the markings are easily readable. They are shipped in a study plastic container with handles and foam inserts. They instructions are very clear and some work gloves are also included. I can't wait to use them on my next project!

Very high quality corner braces! Used these to secure a large picture frame and they worked extremely well. They are strong and I worried a bit that they would mark the frame but no issues. They held the frame perfectly at 90 degrees while the glue dried. This set will come in handy for another project, which is to make drawers for an entertainment center. Solid set that is a good value for the money
