This tool works well when installing tile. I had my tile guy try it out when we were doing our bathrooms and he said it works well. He preferred to just use a mallet for the small job but he said would prefer to use this for outdoor tiles that are large. Fits select Dewalt batteries.

I thought this was DOA and tried several batteries with no luck. I even tried holding the power button in for several seconds. When I THEN re-read the instructions, and held the button in for a full 5 seconds - it started to work - but nearly vibrated my finger nails off! This really moves on those higher settings - not sure what that would be used for other than really large tiles. I don't think I would ever set that size tile, but on lower settings it would be fine. It would also be good for just setting the tile in place - though a simple suction tool would be fine for that. I did have trouble getting the battery in place (all of them) and I see others had the same problem. At least I know it will not vibrate loose! I also noticed that the LED's seems to vibrate as well - makes we wonder how long they will last. As others have mentioned, a leveling bubble would be nice - though it might not stay on the tool! I have nothing to compare this to but it seems to do what it should. It would be better if it did include a few batteries and charger, but I see many tools come this way so they don't have to contend with the new battery shipping rules I suppose.

I guess this is intended for much larger tile than I am putting down in my garage. I am using 1ft x 2ft tiles. But at my age and bad knees I need all the help I can get. Just the suction cup to be able to lift the tiles and set them down in a level plane is a big plus for me. Otherwise I have to lift the tile, lean over the area where fresh thinset is and try not to drop one end/side before the other. With tiles already in place on two sides, I almost always drop one end/side before the other compressing the thinset too much on that side. With this I can easily set it down in a level plane, then vibrate it down even will the others. I am not a professional tiler, just a homeowner doing things myself, so there are probably tricks to do this another way without using this tool but it works for me and that's all that matters.

We just used this Cordless Tile Leveling Machine by Aoderti to assist in laying tiles on our living room floor. The assistance from this tool was invaluable – we saved a lot of time using this Leveling Machine vs not using it. We laid large format smooth tiles – the suction on the Machine was great. We have not tried this on textured tile or wood flooring yet. This Leveling Machine fits Dewalt batteries perfectly. I’m looking forward to using this Tile Leveler in our bathroom next!

Some non-Dewalt tools designed for their batteries don't fit so precisely; this one does. It's a perfect fit. When laying tile think in terms of a concrete snake that gets plunged into freshly poured concrete and you can immediately see the settling. That is what this tool does. It vibrated thereby partially eliminating the air pockets between the tile/floor and the thin set. You have to get the hang of using it which should most likely take only a few tries. The big paddle instead of being an on-off switch is rather the lever which creates the suction to make it adhere to the top of the tile. If you have a rough surface tile it may not be as effective as a smooth one. Then the other two knobs are there to turn it on and subsequent pressing of the power button toggles between the different power settings, and the other knob closer to your hand actuates/turns on the actual vibrating. Overall, it is a pretty light weight tool. Light enough that you would not mind working with it all day. So procedurally you use the long arm on the handle to pick up the tile off a stack, place it in position, and then turn on the vibrating to move it down securely on the thin set. It is the first time I have seen something like this, and I have laid a good deal of tile. Wish I had it before I did all the tile work.

So this works with DeWalt batteries and for the most part it works relatively well, it's a little underpowered suction-wise for me but I will just plan on using it with smaller tiles. does not have a leveling bubble like it claims....which I'm a little bummed about it would have helped, I think they should remove that from the pictures because that's false advertising. pretty nice quality tool doesn't feel cheap, I like the fact you can suction it to a tile and have it vibrate at the same time, instead of having several tools to do this, pretty handy and not too bad price point wise, it's not the top of the line but it does work pretty good just I recommend not using this for bigger tiles or trusting the suction cup completely. This cordless tile leveling machine made my tiling job much easier and faster. The adjustable speeds and digital display are very helpful, though it takes some time to get used to.
