I never leave reviews although I always read them before I buy something, especially a pricier item. And hopefully this will help anyone contemplating buying this. Really wanted something that would cut down my cleaning time .... Here in Michigan we only get about 3 months of pool time and half the time is spent cleaning and not enjoying it. It definitely does not last long but I found leaving it plugged in longer than when the green light comes on does help. I wanted a vacuum that would pick up the debris so that it didn't go into my filter which it does. But when you pull it out of the water it just empties everything it picked up back into the pool. I found that putting a small towel under the filter helps to trap most of it but you still have to pull the vacuum out fast and don't tip it. It will work for now but for the price I would of bought one that was double the price and wasn't so much of a hassle. As of 8/16 completely stopped working. So I do not recommend at all! ... show more

    • Battery life is short
The unit did a good job picking up small stuff. It takes a bit of adjustment to get good coverage. I have a 26 ft round above ground pool. My major complaint is that it advertises 100 minutes of run time. But even after full charging of 5 hours, the best I’ve gotten is about 40 minutes, and the last 10 of that is very very slow where the unit doesn’t move around much. It’s also supposed to come to the edge of the pool for retrieval but thankfully the little cord that comes with it has a long cord on it. 40 minutes isn’t enough time. ... show more

    • Great when you can get it to charge
Just like other reviewers I have trouble getting it to charge. It is hit or miss. I have tried the tips but it just seems to have a mind of it's own about charging. I do know that if the light on the plug stays green when plugging into the unit it won't charge that time. When it works it's good. I'll keep it. ... show more

    • LOVE this, just one small issue of concern
I have been using the pool vac for 1 week and LOVE it, it does everything it says it's going to do and runs for well over an 1.5 hrs. Easy to set up and easy to clean. Area of concern and the reason for 4 stars and not 5, the on and off switch seems to be rusting from somewhere. On about day 3 I noticed a little rust spot when I turned it on, just cleaned it off but there seems to be a rust spot every day. My concern is down the road, what's rusting, what's going to break or stick or just no longer work? The only option from Amazon is to return this and not replace, I really want to keep it and hope there is some sort of resolution. Thanks ... show more

    • Broke in less than a month
When I first got it, I was impressed. It picked up most of the dirt at the bottom of the pool. There were a few times that I had to brush the dirt and then it vacuumed over it. The problem is that it stopped working almost a month in. Since I was on vacation most of that month, I only used it 4-5 times before it stopped turning on. It would charge and the charger would indicate that it’s fully charged but it wouldn’t turn on. The other minor thing that happened is that the string that attaches to it so you can pull it out of the pool basically disintegrated. I went to put it in the pool and the cord popped in my hands. I tried to tie it together and it popped again…and again…and again. This was a waste of money. 😔 ... show more

    • Robot vacuum
This vacuum is ok but very slow and gets stuck alot In my 18ftx48inch round pool. It cleans ok but could be a lot better, seems like it's just not powerful enough to keep moving without helping it. I probably would recommend a more expensive one if you really want your pool cleaned.

The media could not be loaded. Not a bad little vacuum. I don’t think it will replace a good manual cleaning but it will be good for picking up leaves. It does got some of the sand and dirt but you would have to use it every day to try and get it all. I am keeping it to help with the leaves so that does not go through me pump. Update***.it just stopped working. It would not charge. I requested a return and my only option was for pickup service and there we’re supposed to be 3 attempts to pick up and they only came once and never came back to get it and now I am out of my return y me and I am stuck with a broken vacuum. I am very disappointed with this whole experience. Now I have spent money on something that doesn’t work. ... show more

Not sure why I can’t get it to go back and forth as stated in the description but it cleans our pool pretty well. The light that indicates charging is on the power cord box. You also have to make sure you pull it out level because if you don’t the dirt will pour out when you bring it above water. I found out the hard way 😅 ... show more
