Works great for the price. I don’t use my jogsaw often but the few times I’ve used this one it beats pulling out an ext cord. My Makita batteries plug right in and it works as it should.

We used the Jig saw cutting 1/2" plywood 4 days of use and the jig saw made a pop sound and stopped working.

The media could not be loaded. I ordered this saw because it uses Makita style batteries, and most of my cordless tools use the same ones. This makes it really handy, and was the biggest selling point for me. But the saw is not packaged well at the factory, and the first one I ordered arrived with a very banana-shaped, bent bottom plate. There is no foam or cardboard inside the factory box to hold things steady, and (in my opinion) the baseplate is weak due to poor design. Specifically, there is a notch in the side of the plate adjacent to the blade that serves absolutely no purpose other than to weaken the structure. I’m not referring to the front notch, which is necessary for the insertion of the optional but included guide, but right behind that on the left side. It should be noted that this was no fault of Amazon, or anyone’s shipping. Both the exterior shipping box, and the interior factory box, were in good condition. This is a result of the factory packaging. A second problem with the originally shipped saw was that the LED light did not work. Not a huge deal, but come on… it’s brand new. The replacement saw arrived with a good (unbent) baseplate, but the variable speed trigger does not work. The original saw had an almost infinitely variable trigger switch, while the replacement saw had two speeds… almost full speed, and full speed. Another quality control FAIL. And there’s more. Yet another issue, is that I have a difficult time getting the saw blades to lock in. The tool-less blade replacement SEEMS to work well, but for some reason it takes me several tries to get any of the included blades to actually lock in. I have two other saws that use the same type of tool-less black lock, and they work fine, so I doubt this is operator error. The 3-position oscillating function pushes the blade forward, but I don’t see any actual blade oscillation, and its position didn’t seem to make any difference when cutting. Also, instead of some kind of tool-less latching system to adjust the angle of the baseplate, there are two small Phillips screws. Definitely not ideal, and IMO, the whole baseplate is the weak link to this saw. Other than the many above-listed issues, it will cut. The brushless motor is powerful, and it feels good in my hand. But I feel there are much better options for the same, or lower price. For these reasons, I can’t recommend it. Hope this helps. ... show more

This is off brand that Does work with mikita batteries, use higher Ah. 2 dies alot quicker than 6Ah. 👍

It makes a visible spark is it really brushless? Works great and cuts awesome good bang for the buck!

    • Good Budget Jig Saw
Good budget jig saw that uses my Makita batteries. Decent quality and works. Good for those that don't want to spend the money on name brand tools (which I do recommend you do). The price is right and it will work well for small jobs and occasional use.
