I ordred 2 and replaced the 2 old fixtures on my carport of the same size that had rusted badly and weren't very bright. I choose free shipping and they came early so that was great. It is an OK product, but I would recommend to the manufacturer that they make the screws and nuts larger so that it would be easier to install. I'm 75 and have just a touch of arthritis in my hands and fingers. I installed it but I was very irritated by the small nuts that were hard for me to hang on to and screw on. It feels cheap, but it does it's job. Would I buy it again? Probably not, I would look for a different one and hope that it would be a little better. ... show more

    • Easy to get screws out

Read reviews, some reviewer said they had problems getting screws out. Turn the light on it’s top and tap gently on the bottom of screw. Flip over and screws should back out easily.

The quality of the light is striking. I paid more for a similar unit that fell apart before actually installed. This unit is quality crafted, no open seems on the glass housing so no pugs will get into the lamp housing. The quality of the light is quite bright, at least 100 watt equivalency IMHO. And it is soft white, not harsh bluish that some LED whites are these days. Only critique on design is that there is no fiberglass pad on the base to seal between the base and the mounting box which would prevent cold air entering the house or critters building nest, but you can buy a pad at your local hardware store, or just pull it off the lamp you are replacing. I will be buying a few more of these to update all the porch lights at my home. ... show more

    • Relatively inexpensive and poor quality

Purchased a pair to replace my decade old incandescent fixtures with a similar shape but slightly smaller size. The quality of the casing was very rough and somewhat pitted before being painted over in white. the inside windows were sealed on the edges with clear caulk but the overflow needed to be scraped of in a few sections. the metals corners do not mee flush so that had to be tinkered with and then camouflaged resolved with some exterior white caulk. I am concerned about the LED failure which likely requires replacing the entire unit. And finally, the lumens are very bright and the bulb color temperature seems whiter than 3k - it was brighter and whiter than expected for a porch or lanai light without adding a dimmer. I don't think it's a great value at ~$40... probably should have gone with Westinghouse ~$30 and added an LED bulb. ... show more
