  • Ordered 2 sets, A and D
Color: set D Style: Art marker, alcohol-based marker, perman... Pattern Name: Marker
I started off buying a small set of 6 colors from Michael’s, and I liked them so much I ordered set A, that was sold and shipped by Amazon. The case arrived cracked and a few markers were dried out and weighed less than 13.5 grams. (I really recommend buying a scale. I got the Maxus Precision Pocket Scale for $11 and I can easily tell when a marker needs to be refilled now) Since it was bought directly from Amazon, I had no issues getting a replacement and I sent the cracked case and dried out markers back. A couple weeks later I ordered set D, also sold and shipped by Amazon. These arrived in great condition, perfect case, and only 2 markers were right at 13.5grams. All the rest are very juicy and weighed close to 14.5. The colors are beautiful and now I have more options for blending. One set, while beautiful, doesn’t really give many blending combinations. ... show more

  • Perfect quality, shipped faster than expected
Color: set B Style: Markers Pattern Name: Marker
I placed this order for Copic Set B of 72 Sketch markers on December 6th with no expectation of receiving my markers all the way from Japan until January sometime. Imagine my surprise when they came on December 21st! Before Christmas even! There were no extra duties or taxes due upon their importation to the US. If you order, please keep in mind that these do NOT come with the plastic case. I was able to order the plastic case from a US source: MarkerPop for around $26. Adding these two charges together still made this a cheaper alternative than most other Copic retail outlets I could find. And the quality was perfect. Every marker appeared fresh with good ink flow. I am a totally satisfied customer. ... show more

  • My favorite medium to color with!
Color: set B Style: Markers Pattern Name: Marker
I bought my first set of Copics just over a year ago and they are my favorite medium, bar none. I now have all the colors and I use them all the time. They have a bit of a learning curve but there are free videos abound to teach you how to use them which is how I learned. They are expensive but truly worth every penny to me. This was the first large set I ordered, the rest were obtained from other websites and one marker at a time from craft stores using coupons. If you are willing to make the investment these are the best alcohol markers and since you can buy refills they are a good investment. The only downside I can find to these (besides the price) is the lightfastness. They are not rated and will probably fade in sunlight or possibly diminish in brightness over time. It is probably best to color copy your works to display them on a wall. ... show more

  • Loving my Pens
Color: set B Style: Markers Pattern Name: Marker
The set B Copic pens were received in very very good condition. It was well packaged with protective bubble wrap and industrial tape. It took about two weeks to receive from Japan but it was well worth the wait. In a couple of months I will be ordering set C sketch pens. Right now I am enjoying coloring and learning how to blend. I also use the Copic app. It really works well once you learn it. ... show more

  • Pricey, but I'm addicted!
Color: set B Style: Markers Pattern Name: Marker
Its pricey. We all know that. Is it worth it? Hell yeah. There is just no comparison to anything else. I have two of the 72 sets now and saving for a 3rd. Eventually I will get them all because I have "complete set syndrome" and they will be well worth it. I'm not too sure that I would HIGHLY reccomend a 72 set to beginners only because of price and they take a little bit of time to master, but I would definitely recommend a smaller 6,12, or 24 set to start with to see if you love them as much as I do. The smallest sets can be found at Michael's and Hobby Lobby and you can even use their coupons on it(typically 40% off) to compare to Amazon if you need instant gratification. ... show more

  • Excellent Product But Poor Shipment Packing Method
Color: set B Style: Markers Pattern Name: Marker
I have been using the Copic Pens since 1999 for architectural hand renderings as opposed to manga cartoon drawings and it is an excellent product! I like that each pen can be refilled and worn-out brush/chisel tips are replaceable. My first set purchased back in 1999 still works beautifully! Because the inks are translucent, you can deepen the coloring with more layering or blend with another color to produce color blends/shading. It can even appear like a watercolor painting...except you don't have to wait for the paint to dry! The reason I could not provide 5 stars is that after waiting 2-3 weeks for my shipment to arrive, the 3rd party vendor did not provide a deeper shipping box and used sparse, insufficient kraft-paper padding around the product that offered no padded protection. As a result, the delicate plastic casing was cracked upon it's arrival. USPS apparently dropped the box during transit as there was a gouge on the outside bottom of the box and without proper interior padding, the plastic case took the entire impact! ... show more

  • Did not come as pictured.
Color: set D Style: Art marker, alcohol-based marker, perman... Pattern Name: Marker
I received these as individuals instead of the sets. They did not come in the case as pictured and as the sets are normally sold. They came in boxes of three. I had ordered two different sets and they both came this way. A set that I had ordered, previously, came properly packaged in the case. This is not a huge issue for me because I don't keep them in the case. It's just annoying to have to open all of these boxes, and go through the markers like this to make sure they're all there. It would be much easier if I received the actual sets instead of individuals. ... show more
