I didn't finish it before my son left for school and my husband picked the book up and finished it. Later in the day, I picked it up and finished it. I got this book for my three year old son who loves tractors. We have a farm and this book was perfect for us ! The story is rather LONG for a three year old, but the story is endearing and teaches a valuable lesson. Shiny and new is not always better than old and trustworthy and friends don't let friends down. The illustrations are wonderful. My whole family has enjoyed this book. We own three real "Rusty Trusty Tractors" and now my son and daughter understand why we fix what we have, and don't run out and buy something new every time we have a problem. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves farming, tractors, and country life. ... show more

Cute story about a boy, his grandfather, and an old tractor. My preschoolers enjoyed it, and I particularly liked the message that new isn't always better.
