I was impressed with the sturdiness of this stand! I ordered the 2 pack with 2 identical stands. I had no problem inserting my Samsung phone with its Punkcase on into the grips. You expand the grips out by pulling them out, then slipping phone in between the grips, you release the grips onto the phone. The bottom part of the stand has a nice weight to it so your phone stands firm with zero wobbling. The color I have is the black metal and it looks really nice paired with my phone and it’s case. The height and angle can be adjusted with a little force of your hands and so far stays in its place. It’s light enough to carry to different tables or counters making it versatile. It has amazing functionality too with how straight forward it is to adjust. You can take it apart and make it go flat too for travel. The part that holds the phone is flexible and you can adjust the angle with a little force from your hand. The stand is the perfect size too, not too small and not too large. I bought this on a whim to use for video calls and recording quick videos, and it’s honestly become one of my favorite little tools on my desk. For the price, I wasn’t expecting much, but it really delivers value for the money. It’s compact and doesn’t take up a lot of space, but it’s still sturdy and holds my phone securely both vertically and horizontally. I love that it’s adjustable in height and tilt it’s easy to get the exact angle I need whether I’m sitting or standing. It doesn’t wobble or tip over, even when I’m tapping the screen. Setup was instant literally just pulled it out of the box and popped my phone in. It’s lightweight enough to move from room to room but doesn’t feel cheap at all. The Cooper chatstand is exactly what I was looking for. It's made out of good solid materials. The flat base is sturdy and actually slides in right under my keyboard so I can video while I am working. I like how it can be adjusted to different heights, it works great on a desktop. High rating because it does not tip over. Almost perfect except I wish the hinges to hold the phone were better. How they are now you have to jam your phone in and it's difficult and kinda ruins the phone. I would rate the phone holding part a 1.

    • Thought it was defective—my bad!!

Before I got the replacement, I thought the original item I received was defective. It comes with 2 screws so I jumped to conclusions and assumed (you know what they say about that) the 2 indentations on the base were meant for the screws and that the holes were not drilled all the way through on the base. My bad! The new one is identical to the first and I belatedly realized that the single round hole in the bottom of the base is designed for one screw that goes directly into the pole. I guess they provide an extra in case there’s a problem with the threads? Anyway, I’m actually really happy with this sturdy little stand. Fits my iPhone no problem and no danger of tipping g over. So I think I’ll cancel the return and keep both of them. ... show more

Bought this for handless video recording, and it was just what I needed. You can turn it a full 360 or tilt it decently. The quality and durability is nice and sturdy! It has a strong grip for your phone and helps keep it steady without the bulkiness of a tripod which is great for portability.
