  • Excellent Choice
This odor eliminator has transformed maintaining a fresh coop. While I'm not sure if the chickens notice, it definitely makes it much nicer for me to enter and collect eggs when it smells decent. It simplifies cleaning and contributes to a healthier environment, proving to be an invaluable addition to our farm supplies. ... show more

  • Pretty cat litter.
This looks like cat litter. They even say you can use it as cat litter. Cat litter has gotten expensive enough, I certainly wouldn't recommend using it for that purpose due to the price. My coop might not be the normal chicken coop. My chickens are free range all day and just go in at night. There is a large wide tile surface that they roost above that is scraped clean every morning. There aren't a lot of droppings that end up on the floor and the floor is a layer of shavings. So, for me, this wouldn't be worth it nor make much of a difference. I imagine it would be a different story if my chickens were kept in an enclosed area all day though. ... show more

  • It actually works. Bag was not sealed, kind of expensive.
I have nine chickens that go into their coop each night. I noticed when I let them out in the morning that the coop smells really bad with a strong ammonia smell. So, when I saw this I thought I'd try it even though it seemed a bit expensive. The package was in a box, and I noticed that there were granules in the box. Upon looking at the bag it had been taped over and the tape was not completely sealed. The granules that leaked out into the box did not have a smell, so I was skeptical if this would work. I poured the bag out into a bucket with a top as the bag was useless with an opening in the side. I sprinkled some in the bottom of the coop to see if this would work. The next morning when I let the chickens out the smell was reduced. To make sure this was not just my desire to smell less, I sprinkled a little bit more around the coop. The next day, again the smell was considerably less than it was before using this odor eliminator. I did no use a much of it at all, and it worked. I was impressed. Overall, this seems a bit expensive, but it does work. I plan on cleaning the coop and then applying this with a new shavings as a longer term solution to the smell issue. ... show more

  • gets rid of gross smells
My hens make a mess out of their coop and it can get pretty musty in there. This refresher helps make it a little more bearable between cleanings. I use it on their coop tray for their droppings and in corners that are hard to reach.

  • Works good to eliminate moisture.
This coop odor eliminator is made from diatomaceous and "zeolite mineral." The package does not specify how much of the bag is each thing but I already use DE in my coop to add to the chicken's dust bath. This back had broke open inside of the box so there was dust and product all over. I think that it needs better packaging material because it seems really easy to tear. The product t is a lot like kitty litter consistency but there is some dust to it as well. I added it to the damp corners under the roost after cleaning and added pine shavings over the top. It seemed to remove some of the dampness but doesn't have a smell and I did not notice any lessening of odor. My chickens were very interested in pecking at it and while it's listed as a natural product, I am still nervous with how interested they were in it. The instructions suggest using this in large amounts throughout the coop but that definitely would not be a cost effective way to use it. There are a lot of other options out there that go farther for less and work out better form me so I don't think I would order this particular product again. ... show more

  • Work great and no odor
Works great! The bag has 20 lbs that lasts a long time and I am very happy with how it controls odor and keeps things dry and clean in the coop. Good value and highly recommended.
