It's a well built solid PSU that comes well packaged. No complains on the performance, appearance, installation, easy of cable management (modular connectors are a MUST if you don't want messy cables). My only complain and it can be a deal breaker for most people who want a silent gaming PC is that when a game is being launched, the semi-fanless operation turns off and the PSU fan turns on to full blast to verbally let you know that it's working hard. Personally I don't mind the feedback it gives but at first I thought it was super annoying. The item description states that it operates semi-fanless mode up to 40% load but most recent games will require well over 40% load so the fan turns on for every game I play. I am assuming when the fan is first turned on it goes into full blast mode to dissipate the accumulated heat during operating as fanless mode. The fan noise can be described as loud and deep growling sound. What's annoying is that it growls then stops then growls again few times. After the initial fan turning on, it does gradually levels out the noise but it's still not quiet by any standards especially compared to the Corsair I previously used. On a positive note, any other software and playing media does not trigger this event and the PC is virtually silent. Also, I wear headset for games so PSU fan noise is not a issue for me. I decided to keep mine but I would understand that the noise will not be tolerable for some people. I had this PSU for 2 months now and it may sound weird but I do actually like the fact that the fan is making this noise. I like the feedback it gives to let me know that PSU is going over 40% load and letting me know that PSU is working properly as intended. I also could reference this and use it as a diagnostic tool to see if the PSU efficiency has declined without having to run h/w monitoring programs. I may be the odd one for liking this fan sound feedback but just my 2 cents for anyone looking into getting this PSU.

This review is for the 750w Gold V2 PSU. This is a Tier A PSU according to the Cultists PSU Tier List. It does what it advertises mostly. It is semi fan-less and quiet when the fan isn't running. It is fully modular so you can attach only the cables required. It is definitely more efficient than my old F tier unit. With exactly the same system, the usual power consumption goes down to 25w compared to 35w with my old F tier PSU. (I am using 12600k with iGPU) I purchased this mainly for its advertised quietness. However, it isn't as quiet as I would hope when hybrid mode is off. Its noise level is on par with my tier F Themaltake unit. My system has 2 CPU fans from Scythe Fuma 2 and 3 Cooler Master case fans. When these 5 fans are spinning at 500 rpm, I can't hear them at all. This is what I would call quiet. When the PSU fan is on as I turn hybrid mode off, it is making unbearable noise sounds like the fan isn't running smoothly or a cable got into the way of the spinning fan. For a PSU at this price point, I'd expect the fan to be more silence optimized. If I see this thing in person in a store or something, I wouldn't purchase it.

the included gpu and cpu cables are daisy chainers which look ugly. i bought some cable extensions to replace with. otherwise, its a great product from one of my all time favorite brands.
