I bought the standard sized grey-blue backpack for traveling as my carry-on item. The color is very cute but might get dirty over time since it's a light color. I've been using a North Face backpack for years to travel with before I bought this one. This one is much roomier and has so many pockets and it fits perfectly under an airplane seat with room leftover!. The previous backpack I used was a lot heavier too even without anything in it. There's a laptop sleeve and a compartment for shoes which is a huge plus. FYI if you use the shoe compartment, there will be less room in the backpack. The water bottle holder is tiny as I couldn't fit a slim water bottle in it so I just used it as another pocket. You can even plug in a portable charger to the backpack. I connected a portable charger in the inside of the backpack and was able to connect a USB-A charging cable in the port on the outside of the backpack to charge my phone with easy access without having to take the portable charger out. You cannot use a USB-C cable with this backpack (USB-A ports only)! Make sure the portable charger also has a USB-A input to connect to the backpack. I haven't tested out the water resistance with the material on the backpack yet but I think the material is pretty durable. I was able to fit at least 3 outfits and a toiletry bag + other small items in the various pockets. I highly recommend this backpack for weekend traveling/traveling light! If you need more room, I would get the larger size (pretty sure it can also fit under an airplane seat). ... show more

I wasn't sure what level of quality I would get from this due to the price but bought it based on the reviews. I was pleasantly surprised. The zippers seem very sturdy and it holds quite a lot. We bought for a cruise trip and they worked perfectly. They are sized so they fit within airline size restrictions as a personal item so you can fit them under seat and take a carry on. They were handy for shore excursions for use as a day pack especially the compartment for wet items/shoes. The straps are padded well enough to be comfortable when stuffed full. I also like the strap that allows you to hang it off the handle of your rolling carry-on. Family members on our trip liked them so much we gifted some for Christmas. Loved the space and compartments of this bag. It's absolutely as advertised, durable and packed a lot of room for so many things. It can even fit under an airline seat in a pinch as long as it's not TOO stuffed. I loved being able to put my laptop in the bag and all he little books and crannies for storing things. The shoe bag is a nice addition but does take up some room inside, so have to be strategic if packing for many days. Loved that the water bottle holder stretches easily even with a fully packed bag. Used this product for a 2 week vacation to Greece. I left with it just about empty and returned with it just about full. This product worked well with my suitcase and I was able to easily place it on the telescoping handle for easy traveling. This bag is quite lightweight and held up well with numerous flights and ferries to different islands. The pockets and compartments worked well and fit quite a bit of extra clothing and souvenirs. The zippers appeared to be of good quality as well. My only 2 cons is that there is a lot of dangling straps once you set the backpack to your liking. There should be a loop to place the extra slack in to avoid the numerous dangling straps. The second recommendation would be to place a handle on the horizontal side of the bag and not just on the top of the bag when placed vertically. I am short (5’3) and the bag would be easier for me to carry vertically vs horizontally. Bit overall a solid bag. ... show more

I only purchased this bag this year so I can’t speak about the longevity. I love that this backpack is so roomy and has a lot of compartments. It fits so much without being too heavy. I also love the color. I also like that the main compartment fully opens so you can get what you need, but it also has straps so you can secure the sides. I don’t actually find it necessary to strap it, but if you want your stuff extra secure, you have the option. I hope this lasts me a long time. For the price, it can’t be beat. *** just wanted to update: Since this bag is a bit boxy and large, you won’t feel it if you’re hitting other people in crowded areas. I used this to my trip to Japan and I almost knocked over a girl in the elevator and she nearly fell. I didn’t even know until my husband told me after the fact. No wonder, she was giving me dirty looks. My husband said, he didn’t want to tell me because if I turned around to apologize, I might hit her a second time…oops! I purchased the smaller size. When completely packed, it is still the perfect size to fit under airline seats as a personal item. Additionally, it has a strap in the back that allows you to securely strap the bag to the handle of your other luggage. Game-changer in keeping all of your stuff together. I went on a work trip last week and travelled with a laptop for the first time, and the laptop sleeve in the back is perfect for a variety of laptops. There are also just plenty of pockets. For a week long trip, I had all my clothes in a small hard-shell carry on, and had all my other items in this bag. This included a work laptop, a kindle, all of my toiletries, all of my makeup, headphones, journal, lint roller, laptop and phone chargers, wallet, and a small purse. The only thing I would keep in mind is that the water bottle pocket only really fits smaller water bottles. My 32 oz bottle would not fit. ... show more
