  • This Rain Jacket Will Keep You Dry & Not Make You Hot
Color: Dark Grey Size: Large
I ordered this men’s packable rain jacket with a hood for my son because he works in construction and he is out in the elements all the time and he needed something that would protect him from the rain where he does not have to get wet and wear wet clothes all day. My son said that he does not get hot wearing this jacket and that it does keep him dry and it fits well. This jacket can be folded up and put in the carrying pouch that comes with the jacket this jacket seems to be quality made and it looks great to. I recommend this jacket to others. ... show more

  • Great jacket marred by a poor zipper
Color: Blue Size: Small
First, the good: Definitely waterproof. It comes with a built-in hood, which can hang out in back if you don't need it, or you can zip it into a pouch on the top of the neck to keep it out of sight. I'm about 140 lbs and got the small, which fits fine (I would have liked it a bit slimmer, but that's just my personal preference). Zips up, but there are also snaps that can add an extra layer of protection in front of the zipper, particularly useful if it's a windy day. Two zippered pockets on the front. The front zipper: This is not so good, in my opinion. It's a small zipper, meaning the teeth and the pull are small (see my first photo, where I compare the zipper on this blue jacket with the zipper on an old red rain jacket). Why is this a problem? Well, because it's hard to get the zipper started. (This problem doesn't apply to the pockets or the hood pouch, since you never open those all the way.) Too often I think I have the tongue ("insertion pin") of the the left side of the zipper in the "insertion box" on the right side, like in my second picture--but it's actually not all the way in, and the bottom of the zipper soon separates, as in my third picture. I *think* the issue is that the slider doesn't always slide all the way down the right-hand side zipper before I join the left and right (my fourth picture). I have to wiggle it and push hard to get it all the way down, I think it's hanging up on something. That *might* be a defect in my particular jacket, and other jackets with this same zipper might not have the problem. I thought the trouble might go away with use, and maybe it eventually will, but for now it's hard to get the zipper started right. So I mostly like this, but I'd like it better if the zipper were just bigger, with bigger teeth and slider (like my old jacket). ... show more

  • Great shell and easy to pack - maybe runs a bit large?
Color: Dark Blue Size: Large
There isn't too much to say about this one - does the job as described. Good overall quality. Packs down small. I really dig that. It's not necessarily warm, so this won't replace a fleece-lined rain jacket or similar, however it's a great and easy-to-pack accessory when traveling to a warm but rainy destination. Throw it in your bag and pull it out if needed. Does the job. Color is nice too. Recommend. ... show more

  • Good Spring and Fall Jacket
Color: Dark Blue Size: X-Large
This rain jacket is a nice, sort of medium weight jacket that is true to size. The navy blue looks good and the fabric feels sturdy and well made. The warmth level is perfect for an early fall day or a breezy afternoon watching a sporting event. It's not too warm but blocks wind nicely. I ordered according to usual sizing and the fit allows enough room to add a hoodie underneath, if needed, but doesn't look or feel bulky or sloppy without one. The only downfall I've found so far is that the inner layer is also waterproof fabric, meaning there is no moisture wicking ability at all. If you do any physical activity while wearing this and sweat, the inside is just going to have moisture droplets in it from the sweat. Overall, this is a good choice for casual outdoor activities when there may be rain or even just for a lightweight wind barrier. It is well made and a nice quality jacket that provides just the right level of warmth and protection from the elements to want to keep it in the car and have ready for regular use. It just wouldn't be my first choice for something like hiking. ... show more

  • Handy rain protection
Color: Dark Grey Size: Medium
Bought this for an upcoming trip in Ireland. Rain for sure in October, and this handy, light weight and quality made rain jacket fits the bill. Don’t need the hood, roll it up into the collar of the jacket. Waterproof fabric doesn’t breathe, but you’ll be warm and dry. best of all it comes with its own bag to fold it up into, great performance as it doesn't take up much room in your bag! Great value and fit, you’ll be happy and dry in this jacket! ... show more

  • Covers all the bases.
Color: Dark Grey Size: Large
This is a good pick for when you want a rain jacket that isn't also a heavy coat. In other words, it's good for the warmer parts of the year. Good for me in particular, since I frequently go out on delivery gig-work runs in unpleasant weather. Thumbs up!

  • Compact and waterproof. Ready for travel. A bit warm
Color: Red Size: X-Large
I’ll start with all the positives: It’s a very lightweight jacket that folds compact and comes with its own carrying case. There was a hood that can fold into the collar to stow out-of-the-way when it’s not needed. After it has been unfolded for a while while the wrinkles do fall out relatively well and the jacket looks quite nice. There are a lot of colors to choose from and the colors listed on the sale page match what you receive. and now for a few items that need work. The material while Finn and light is rubbery somehow and doesn’t allow your skin to breathe. That means that this is definitely made more for a cooler climate where you’re looking for a thin outer layer that will keep the warmth inside. my intention was to use where there might be surprise but this jacket is way too hot for that area. Also, for the jacket being packable, I was hoping for a pocket that folded inside out and allowed the jacket to pack into itself. These are my preferred style of travel, packable jackets as they take up less space and have fewer items for me to lose. on the plus side, you have a carrying case that you can use to store other things when the jacket is not packed so I suppose that could be a good thing is just not what I was looking for. At $35 MSRP it may be worth a look. ... show more
