After putting up with a cheap, temperamental PowerA charging stand, I bit the bullet, through it in the trash, and bought this one for my Xbox Elite controller. Its minimalist, black design makes it an unassuming addition to my PC desk. It slips right into the stand like a glove (without removing the back paddles) unlike cheaper models which require a lot of fiddling and may even give you a strobe effect with their bright, colored charging lights if the contacts aren't aligned perfectly. At $39.99 it was a little pricey, but if its for charging a $150 controller, it seems reasonable. The only potential issue I can see is a lack of outlets for overcrowded PC setups or entertainment cabinets. Most of these chargers ship with a Micro USB-to-USB 2.0 cable to allow options - either AC power or through a USB hub of some kind. This charger chips with an AC power cable only. Not an issue for me but you've been warned. The included back plate is also made of extremely cheap plastic (like almost every other charging stand) and is a contrast to the high-end materials used in the Elite controllers, but this is easily overlooked when coupled with the overall quality of the package, ... show more

First off, the price for this is too high. The most it should be priced at is 29.99 for *special* colors and 19.99 for base colors. Second of all, the base of the charger is rubber but is outlined in plastic, not allowing the base to grip to any surface properly. They need to revise this product with a rubber base that grips the surface. Every time you go to remove or take the controller off the base, the base twists. Very solid, good quality material. It has some weight for stability, which is great. Basic and flawless functionality: lights orange when docking, white when the charging's done. The battery needs a little "convincing" when you put it into the controller, guess it's to make sure it stays there :)

This is a great item if you are tired of changing batteries. It comes with the base charger, batteries and battery encloser. Now what to do with the original battery encloser.

A fast and simple way to charge your Xbox wireless controller. This charger keeps the battery charged better than the usb cord that came with my original charging battery. The price was great and it works great for one controller.

    • Not compatible with new Xbox Core Controller without separate purchase.
ONLY if you buy the separate battery pack replacement will this work with the new Xbox Series X. Mine was bought new, but I was shipped me an open box, all the seals were already broken on the box, hence the lower rating.
