Great machine. I wanted a triple feed to sew cording in cushions and lighter weight fabrics in furniture upholstery. I have the 206 and hated gearing it down and back up. The 1206 is sold as heavy duty which it will do. But I have my 206 for that. The main appeal to me with the 1206, it uses same feet and needles as my 206 but it’s made to sew light weight fabrics like drapery weight and outdoor sumbrella fabrics easier. This is probably a big step up for homeowners, but a perfect dedicated machine for upholsters who want one for fabrics only. Plus it has oil pump, less mess on your cloths. I will primarily use 69,92 thread in the 1206 and 92,138,207 in the consew206rb5. ... show more

Fantastic qaulity machine. Packed perfectly. Using to re upholster boat seats. Getting the job done. Only minor problem is the belt seems too long and there's only so much you can adjust. Besides that excellent !! Super fast ship too thanks

Came packaged well. No instructions for the table. Small tear in the laminated plastic however seems like a good machine. [haven't put it to hard work yet.] reverse cuts the thread so I don't think the timing is accurate.

    • Nice machine until it broke
I’m waiting to get parts under warranty, had the bobbin jam up and it looked like 2screws broke off of bobbin housing and jammed in the holder where it rotates. I took it apart and freed it up. Had to set the hook timing, but got it going with 2 screws out of it. I’ll keep an update going. Machine is great other than this. Only used it a few times before it seized up. update, servo motor buned up on next job. motor started making some grinding noises and then i smelled electrical burning. man had to start a refund. after setting up the table and buying accessories this is bad. well i think the jam helped take out the motor. but i am going with the sailrite fabricator. its more $ but i need to feel good about my machine. goood luck, i know alot of people have better luck than i did. when it was working it was smooth. but the sailrite has super slow stitch mode and i have to go that route. ... show more

    • Break in and fine tune.
Purchased for upholstery. Once through the break in period and a little tweeking on the oil gate, this machine is as good as if not better than the 206rb- 5. Take your time in setting up properly and you'll love the performance!! 50 + years using Singers, jukis, addlers and this little beast is just top of the line for upholstery or marine work. ... show more

    • Truly a waste of money
Nothing but problems from this machine. We've baked the repair man so much we could have bought a whole new machine by now. Constantly out of time, shredding thread, skipped stitches... every fix that this seasoned repair man can come up with... it's just junk.

Over all a well built machine. We had several issues with the initial setup. The table drawer was broken in shipping. We had to modify the drive belt safety cover to fit without rubbing the flywheel. Other issues include; the bobbin can be install incorrectly causing a tension issue. There is an issue with the spring thread tensioner being misaligned but this can be fix my adding a spacer to correct the alignment. We will add to this review after a couple of months using the mechine. ... show more
