I wear a 46- 48 jacket, with a a 38 inch waist. I ordered a 48-52, and it was much too tight, especially in the waist, even with letting out the straps all the way. Bottom line: These vests run small. I did not return my vest because we will use it for guests. The vests are very attractive, well made with vibrant colors, and my wife said hers was comfortable. I use it for barefoot g. In a deapwater start it needs to stay in place, stay tight, and allow water to slide by smoothly and evenly. This jacket does it all. Great for all aspects of waterskiing including barefooting.

The jacket is comfortable and easy to adjust, allows for plenty of movement, was upset when I recieved a blue one instead of the red pictured, recieved it a few days before I needed it and it functioned as needed
