There is a definite trick to making this look like a professional install. Cleaning is key and a second person helping would help tremendously. My last window is considerably better than my first just because I had to figure out a technique. I'm happy with the result. It definitely helped keep the room cooler. This cling was more difficult to put in place than other brands I've used. I needed to keep the glass very moist so the cling would lay flat. Than removing bubbles added to the problem with all the water to adhere bubbles kept forming around sides so I'd have to dry off the excess quickly as I removed bubbles. Thought I had them out until it was dark outside. Then you can really tell if there are creases or bubbles. Finally got it just right. The price was good for the difficulty I had. Will not likely order this brand again due to the time needed to get it right. I'd recommend it if you're more interested in saving money over time.

This is the worst tint we have ever used. We’ve used several different types in the past and wanted to try a darker tint, so we are used to the application process. After trying three different rolls and wasting over $60, our windows look terrible. The tint never clung to the windows except for maybe 2 hours. Then it either started peeling up or just fell off completely. It makes the house look terrible and is completely ineffective for the purpose of keeping the sun out. Very disappointed we wasted so much money to just throw the tint away. I would post a picture but the tint has completely fallen off the windows so there’s nothing to see in the picture. 🙄

Easy to install once you read the instructions and start installing. I live in Phoenix where even dual pane windows don’t stop the heat from coming in. It does block some of the natural light and makes the room darker but my bed room feels cooler with this film and that’s a trade off I’m willing to make.

This window film does a good job of blocking heat and providing privacy during the day, as long as there’s more light outside than inside. The reflective effect works well in sunlight, making it harder for people to see in. However, at night, the privacy disappears completely—if you have lights on inside, people can see right through the window. Installation was a bit tricky, as getting rid of bubbles required patience and a lot of smoothing. The adhesive is strong, but you have to be careful when applying to avoid wrinkles. Also, keep in mind that it slightly darkens the room, so if you rely on natural light, this could be an issue. Overall, it serves its purpose for daytime privacy and heat reduction, but the lack of nighttime privacy and the tricky installation process bring it down to a 3-star rating.

My apartment has one large window that faces directly west and in summer heat my AC struggles to keep the room comfortable from mid afternoon until sunset, despite pretty heavy blackout curtains. I ordered this after seeing forecasts for an unusually early May heatwave in Central Texas and installed it about two weeks ago. I watched a couple of YouTube videos and also ordered a window film toolkit, although really all you need is a stiff plastic squeegee, a spray bottle, scissors and a utility knife. The only difficulty I had with installation was with measuring and cutting the film because the film kept wanting to roll back up. I didn’t really have an adequately large work surface though, otherwise it would have been easy enough to weight down the edges while measuring and cutting. The actual application to the window panes was very easy though, I just cleaned the glass really well and used plenty of water on the window and both sides of the film. Trimming the excess was also a snap, and the fit is (almost) perfect. I could tell it made a significant difference, the room has stayed comfortable throughout the afternoon even with outside temps in the upper 90s. Today I actually measured it directly. I didn’t have quite enough film to cover all four large panes, and there is gap of about six inches at the bottom of one. I placed two identical thermometers on the windowsill between the curtain and the glass this morning, one in front of the uncovered gap and one on the opposite end in front of a fully covered pane. I checked them when I got home from work and the fully covered side read 93, the unprotected side was 104, a significant difference. Note that’s not the air temperature in the room but the temperature in direct sunlight behind the curtains. I’m going to order another roll today to cover that last gap, even though I only need about six inches of it.

Amazing! This product is exactly what we wanted and more. My dr handle gets so Hot in the sun and this product protected it from getting hot. Perfect. But a weed eater sent a rock that hit my storm dr that had the film on it. It protected the glass from shattering it into tiny pieces all over my front door—inside and outside.. I bought a new storm door and bought this film again to protect the heat on the door handle. So it keeps the sun out and I can see out without someone seeing in .
