I bought this exclusively due to the high number of 5-star reviews. To be honest - many products I've been buying lately haven't been living up to their expectations. This is one of them. The turquoise looks cool, very lightweight, Yay! I turn it on and I was like wtf, hardly any air blowing. It was on high heat, high air flow - figured maybe it was some magic technology and my hair would dry. Nope, after 10 minutes hair still wet and now I was feeling damp and humid around my neck, shoulders and clothing. This has NEVER happened before. I fished out my old blow dryer and hair was done in 3 minutes! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS! I have long hair but it's average thickness, and super straight. This would never work on thick, coarse or curly hair. Never had a dryer this useless. Hate to be so critical but just hate the hassle returning a junky purchase ... show more

I like the hair dryer and does a great job drying the hair. It's a beautiful blue color. Many hair dryers and other appliances don't give the decibel level when operating. At regular speed, it is good, but on high, its a high pitch and I tested the sound level at 80 decibels (which is loud). The power cable is one foot too short. I've noticed that on a previous manufacturer hairdryer. My power outlet didn't decide to come closer to me so I can have shorter power cables. One foot of extra power cable is not going to break the bank but can be a deal-breaker for me. Bring back the 6-foot cord. Thanks. I did go out and buy a 3-foot extension cord to make up for the short cable on the hair dryer. Without the extension cord, the plug on the hair dryer would pull out of the wall partway and the hair dryer stops (kinda irritating to me). ... show more

I hated this dryer. Most of my hair dryers I have used have been conair. But this one seemed like a cheap hair dryer that would come in a hotel or travel trailer. VERY LIGHT WEIGHT AND HARDLY ANY POWER. The difference between medium and high was minimal. I returned it.

The power of the blower is very disappointing. Less than some hotel hair dryers. I realized how really bad it was when I used my travel dryer on vacation last month. Both are 1875 and the travel dryer has a much stronger air stream and dries my hair much quicker. I have bought elseveral salon quality, higher end blow dryers over the years. When my last one, which cost about $90, gave out after a few years I didn't want to spend a lot for a new one. Spending a lot of money on something that doesn't last just seems silly. I choose this one based on reviews and the really affordable price. This is no where near as nice as my old dryers. It does not get that hot. I cannot straighten my hair with just the dryer and a brush as I could before. It also takes about twice as long to get my hair dry. For the money, it's good enough. I have been using this dryer since April. I thought my hair was frizzy because I color it. I have been loading up on conditioners, sprays, etc. It wasn't until I went to a friend's home and used her dryer, and no frizz!!! It is this dryer. I love conair blow dryer due to light weight and low noise level! I love this blow dryer, light weight, powerful drying, easy switch power, comfortable handle. I wish it comes in variety colors. I also own another conair but cheaper and less power switch. I didn't like how the high switch on top, off in the middle, low on bottom. I had to switch off to get to low heat. Not convenient! I bought this to replace an older model because I needed the attachment at the end that black attachment that blows with the least amount of air. What I like a lot about this blow dryer is that you can change the settings it's not just a blast of hot air but you can have a medium setting with medium heat or you can have no heat at all and you don't have to constantly press in a button. ... show more
