I primarily bought this to use during my client sessions and any Zoom calls, as well as video tutorials I create. My home office is a little bit dark, and the overhead lighting was making me look baggy eyed. PROS: Easy to set up, plug in to my laptop and go. Love the 3 light settings - cool, warm, warmest - and the brightness options. I can adjust it based on the time of day and amount of natural lighting already coming in to the room. It makes a big difference on my Zoom / Skype / FaceTime calls, I look so much clearer and - with the right make up (think cheek & nose highlighter!) this light really makes my skin pop and I look more awake and vibrant. Funny enough I've even had a few clients say "wow you look great!" on the camera, so I know its the added lighting. CONS: Its a touch lightweight, but its workable. I bought this and initially loved it but in less than a year, the part where it charges on the ring light sparked and melted when I turned it on. Something had been smelling like it was burning for a couple of weeks and I couldn't figure out which part of my electronics area it was coming from. I kept unplugging my power strip every night out of fear. Then one day when I turned it on, the ring light blew -- sparked and then melted. I tried to get in touch with the company through the amazon process and they didn't get back to me. And then I tried to have amazon help me but they kept sending me back to the seller. And now the warranty is expired. So I don't usually do this, but I want folks to be warned that this product is not only too expensive to be melting like this, mine was also dangerous. ... show more

If you are buying this brand then buy the extended warranty. I bought this on May 24, 2020 and paid $54.63 w/tax. Any support ended on Nov 23 2020 which was yesterday! 😩 6 months then it went bad. The cord is the problem. I have to disconnect then reconnect it from the bulb to get the light to work, but how long will this method continue to work? I had to replace this ring light because I need it for my zoom meetings. I gave it a 2 star rating because how much I paid and the poor longevity. I actively used it for 4 months out of the 6 months since I purchased it. I never dropped or mishandled it. Mood: 🙁🥺 ... show more

After about 2 months of use it will no longer turn on and stay on. If I jiggle the cable at the connection point to the light, it sometimes comes on, but not always. When it is on, it flickers now to the point of being unusable. Very disappointed in the quality.

This product works about as well as it can. The light is bright, the settings go from bright to brighter. My face looks washed out on higher settings, but the fact that it has the different modes is good. My only gripe (and why 4 instead of 5 stars) was that I had to move it at least 3-4 feet from me in order for it to be useable since the brightness is so intense on all the modes. This might not be a problem for others. The power switch light is only on while the ring light is off, which could also be a problem depending on your setup. I keep the switch in an area that, even while the ring light is on is not lit, but it's only a small inconvenience. Notes: I used the connection mechanism meant for phones for my webcam and it works great! Just unscrew the phone holder part and the screw is standard and should fit most webcams. I didn't try the phone mechanism for my phone, so I am not including that in this review. I also didn't use the phone remote included so that is not part of this review either. ... show more
