  • If your just starting great if not then not so much
Color: Binocular
I enjoy micro hunting when I go hiking and taking samples where ever I can. This microscope is good don't get me wrong if you are a beginner and learning about the different microorganisms around you then this is for you 100%. however, the magnification is not what you would want when you want to see living organisms in water and cells, etc. up close and be able to study them at a close clear range. Well worth the price. ... show more

  • Pretty good if you don't want to connect to pc
Color: Binocular electron
They forgot to include the colored filters shown in the pictures, but otherwise the Microsoft itself works well. It is very light and feels pretty cheap, especially where the batteries go into the base. The camera to connect to pc is awful though, I've uploaded pictures showing the difference between what you see in the eyepiece vs what you see using the USB eyepiece, the difference is huge. The USB camera is useless, so grainy you can't see anything at all. If you're buying this for video recording or specifically to connect to your computer, look elsewhere. ... show more

  • Estado del equipo
Color: Binocular
Muchas gracias !

  • Not as advertised, not for Mcmasters
Color: Binocular
This microscope is probably great for many applications and comes with a nice little starter kit... But I bought it to run fecal egg cell counts with Mcmasters slides. First issue, the stage does not extend far enough in, and I cannot see what lies in the outside section of the McMasters slide grid. Second issue, the stage does not adjust far enough down to properly utilize the 40x objective. Mcmasters slides are thicker, and the 40x objective lense touches the slide with the stage fully down, which makes it unusable. This means the highest magnification you can get using Mcmasters slides is 250x, which is not enough for a beginner (like me) to properly identify types. The eyepieces are not aligned well, and don't adjust far enough, so you cannot use both without double vision. The max magnification is actually 1000x, not 2000x as advertised. There are pictures of the 50x eyepieces, but they are not included in this kit. The cell phone holder is a joke, plastic pad with crappy suction cups, better to just hold your phone in front of the eyepiece yourself. I will be returning this item... if you're looking for a microscope run fecal tests for your livestock, look elsewhere. ... show more

  • I’d buy it again
Color: Binocular electron
It’s my 1st microscope..so I don’t know much about it at all but it’s nice. So far I looked at parasites in my aquarium filter and parasites in an raw oyster. But I don’t like the way they used word play with that “connect you phone” thing making someone that’s not paying attention think they mean “connect “ as in Bluetooth… tricky tricky and he cd rom was broken ... show more

  • Great for students
Color: Binocular
I bought as an at-home resource in my biology classes and it really helped to reinforce lab "lessons" on using the microscope. I recommend it for all beginning science students!

  • Decent quality but if I had the money I would’ve purchased a better one.
Color: Binocular
It’s sufficient for what I need it for but both adjustment knobs don’t work like they should. The images are fine but I don’t like how I have to change the light setting I’m used to ones I’ve used in school working differently.

  • Back to biology
Color: Binocular
No dislikes at all!!! I had no idea just how much I missed using one. Even though one may not think foresters wouldn't use one much, I did, for the first 3 years of my career and loved it!!! Now I'll pick up where I left off. If there was anything negative about the kit it would be there were no lens caps. ... show more

  • Save your money
Color: Binocular
Magnification is to poor to demonstrate most things on a cellular level. Comes with many slides, unable to visualize blood cells on slide. Attempted to purchase greater magnification lenses, not available.

  • Not very good
Color: Binocular electron
Microscope missing the filter. The suction cup phone holder is totally worthless, phone slides off. Calipers are very unstable and jiggle every time you move the slide. Impossible to use a McMaster slide with it, can't focus out enough. Don't even try high magnification, it will be nothing but blurry. Camera works fine but gives very grainy picture. One of the 10x eye pieces has loose plastic floating in it. ... show more

  • Eye pieces are not aligned
Color: Binocular
As the title states, the eye pieces are not aligned. This causes a double image while trying to view the slides. The microscope is usable, but only when closing one eye. Not worth the extra cost for a dual eyepiece microscope.
