I pulled the trigger on this battery for my AT&T wireless home internet despite the terrible reviews because it was only $10 and worth the gamble to me. The battery showed up via ground transport the day after I ordered it. The battery has no packaging other than the box that amazon tossed it in to ship it. This package was shipped from a mid-Atlantic warehouse. I unplugged my hotspot before installing the battery. After the battery was installed I turned on the hotspot using battery power only. The battery light was showing red but the hotspot was functioning. I plugged the unit into the wall jack and the battery light was showing green the following morning. This purchase worked for me. This battery was an exact replacement for the AT&T wireless phone and internet hotspot that I use..... Model IFWA-40. The OLD BATTERY was often showing yellow or red on the display and when I inspected it the battery was obviously swollen and hot to the touch. The new battery is operating normally and is cool the the touch with no deformations. Unfortunately I was not able to determine the manufacture date of my battery as it wasn't obviously marked. ... show more

I have an Ifwa 40 hotspot. It appeared to be having a battery problem. So I purchased this hoping it would work and hoping that was my problem. By the time I got it, my hotspot wouldn't do anything...not even power up (and it was plugged in). I decided it must be a bad hotspot at this point. I received the battery 5 days after I ordered it. Put it in my hotspot and it powered right up. I let it charge completely before using my hotspot. So far, so good. Delivery was great! ... show more
