    • No more broken coffee cups. Yippee!
I thought I might burn my lips with super hot coffee. No Problems with that, it was a fantasy, as long as the plastic lid isn't used. Don't try using it for hot coffee with the lid on though, or you'll splash your face through the big sipping-hole and burn your lips for sure. I shot hot coffee in my eyes my first try, when a wave in the cup slammed into the perfectly sized hole for it to launch from. With the lid on, it holds ice cubes in cold water overnight till the morning. I use the lids for cold stuff only. The coffee cup lids have what looks like a black neoprene gasket, not silicone like the tumblers. It is stronger and stiffer, very dribble proof, good for me, but bad for people with weak fingers. It takes two strong thumbs to remove it. Some women can't take the lids off. The handle is big enough for sausage sized fingers. The "paint" doesn't seem to be paint. It's harder than those ceramic fry pan surfaces, very tough and nearly scratch proof. I can't imagine it chipping or peeling off ever. Because I microwave cups of coffee from a cold carafe, I pour coffee into my last unbroken glass coffee cup first, nuke it, and pour to the stainless cup when hot. These cups do not appreciably chill the heated coffee if the cup starts at room temperature like I thought they might. The new convenience of being able to stretch a hot cup of coffee for half an hour, and it's hot to the end, far outweighs the few seconds it takes to microwave in glass and then pour a second time. This is perfect for construction workers who have coffee going cold way too fast in winter. With the lid off for drinking, coffee will stay hot all coffee break or nearly all lunch-time. ... show more

We bought a couple of these for our camping trip and they worked perfectly. I wanted something with an easy to open & shut top lid to keep bugs out, that was insulated to keep coffee & cocoa warm (or cold drinks cold), that was solid and could take getting knocked around either through traveling or accidents at the campsite, and that was easy to clean. When you take a drink from the cup the liquid always gets on the lid and side of the cup. Not a good design for the lid.

    • O-ring in the lis is iffy.
Kept my coffee hot and worked like it should. O-ring in the lid would always come off when removing the lid. Always had to put it back on.
