We had had our home's walls repainted (well beyond the period recommended on the Command General instructions. As per instructions we prepared the wall for our first item to rehang with isopropyl alcohol and placed the strips to hang the picture above our couch. Despite our following the directions exactly as written, the strips damaged our wall. As a result we had to spackle the damage and repaint the wall. We have since rehung the picture the old-fashioned wall by pounding a nail/picture hanger into the wall. So so disappointed. ... show more

Bought these for our daughter's college dorm as it's the only product (and this specific brand!) allowed by the university for hanging items from the walls/doors/furniture. If that doesn't say enough, then I don't know what else I can say to convince you that these are awesome! We chose a variety pack so she could hang various items of different sizes and weight. I have used these at home as well and will continue to buy them as needed in the future. Oh my dog was this a waste of $20. Put up 10 framed pieces of art today and genuinely 8 of them are on the floor. Zero adhesive, weird sized hangers—seriously, I struggle to understand what most of these fit and why half of them (intentionally) couldn’t hold much more than a poster. Heck, the other ones that are *supposed* to don’t either. My poor dog is traumatized. It’s like ‘Nam in here—every time another one hits the floor it’s like a landmine in his little brain. My downstairs neighbors are probably not thrilled either and if one of these photos hits the floor at 3am we’re *all* going to have a heart attack. 1/10 would not recommend EDIT: it was 2am. In the morning there was ONE remaining photo on the wall being kept aloft by the one of two hooks remaining. And there’s a huge paint chip gone. I’ve gone from bemused to really peeved. ... show more

Great multi pack in its own container, keeps sizes organized. These hooks have been awesome because they don’t damage the walls. Clean the wall area or wherever with alcohol first to make sure it is clean, allow to dry, then apply the sticker and hook to the area. It is important to have a clean surface before using. Sad! Moved into a new place with pristine walls..yeah..not so pristine anymore. I followed the instructions carefully after reading the reviews..clicked them together..rubbed the wall down with alcohol..let it sit for an hour before clicking it back on..(the picture) all to fall within the next hour. I suppose the strips decide when to cooperate and when not too.. there’s 3 art frames still hanging after 24 hours.. compared to 4 other items going “bump in the night”.. the items have to be lightweight or medium .. afraid to use the remainders for fear of falling. This kit comes with 19 types of hooks for hanging small & large pictures, and small, medium & large utility hooks & small wire hooks which are great for things like keys & especially large wall calendars which tend to tear if they are paper..     • Good variety, hope more like this come out
The variety pack has covered a lot of the things I needed as I move into my new apartment, and they've provided a good option that doesn't need me to do any actual installation. I hope some more pack varieties like this come out in the future - a heavy duty pack could be nice, among other things.
