I like the thickness of the vinyl and the pattern. However, it was hard to peel the clear film away from the vinyl and the edges had trouble sticking and staying put. I was able to use some black electrical tape on the black vinyl. I was covering stool shed windows so it worked.

Our bedroom gets extremely hot in the summer even with blackout curtains so I decided to get this as an extra barrier to the sun. Once on it definitely does it’s job and keeps out quite a bit of heat. Instillation is what you would expect from this kind of thing and although it can be tricky it is pretty straight forward. My only frustration was that it took me forever to take the film off the back of if each piece I used, and probably added about 10-15 minutes to the installation of each piece just for that. ... show more

Small roll covered 3/4 of my window. My fault for not measuring. Biggest complaint is how difficult it is to separate the clear film from the blackout film, even with putting a piece of packing tape on the corner to have some extra grip and separation. Blocks out light well but it amount of frustration during install was likely not worth it. I’ve had much better luck with different brands. ... show more

I do like that the blackout is 100% blackout! Adhesion was spot on. However, there are two major improvements needed on this item to give it a 5 star review and that is why I removed 2 stars. #1: grid lines should be added so that you can measure and cut straight lines. #2: PRAY TO THE TRANSPARENT FILM GODS before you start trying to separate the transparent film from black cover. It took me over 30 minutes to remove 4 strips that I cut to install on the window. I have poor eye sight (floaters/DES) and it was a horrible experience for my eyes to focus on removal of this transparent film. ... show more

Product works great! After it’s installed. The installation is about like window tint, except you can’t cut it with a floating razor. Wasted half my roll trying to cut it on the surface of the object I was surfacing. If you cut it with a straight edge on a flat surface it works a lot better.

Overall this product is good for what it said it would do. HOWEVER, you need to know that if you live in an area where intense heat can be generated, this film intensives the heat on the glass causing it to bust. I live north of Salt Lake City in Utah and during the summer it gets very hot here; sometimes 100+. I thought by using this film it would deflect the heat while keeping the room cool and dark. Well, it did keep the room very dark and the temperature was cooler in the room, but what I didn't know is that I was created a hazard with between the film and the glass. I applied the film on four separate windowpanes and thankfully only one pane cracked. I'm not saying this product isn't good, just be careful. ... show more
