Door hindge needs redesign. Door doesn't open wide enough. Causes damage to the unit.

Receive the unit on Thursday 3/2/23 and I had 7 lbs of prime venison pre-marinading in the fridge. Unpacked, washed and preheated the unit and as described in the UM. Loaded the trays and tried to insert the loaded trays into the unit. Trays barely fit and rub on door causing damage to paint/powder-c
oat. See pix, *remember this damage was the result of one use. I had to hold the door wide open with my elbow while inserting the trays. kind of a pain ITB and a simple redesign would make a HUGE difference. The unit itself "dehydrating wise" performed well. The 1/4" strips of venison took between 6 & 8 hours to fully dehydrate, most were done in 6 hours @158 degrees. As for its longevity, only time will tell. It would have been a 5 star home run except for the door thing! Thus my 4 star rating. Written 3/3/2023 Marty T.

The trays don't fit, the door doesn't close, the setting only do 4 settings of their settings, and you can't even change the temp, it's automatically set to different temperatures that I don't use!! and you can't change them! ng, HOWEVER, the reason for my update is because of the seller's customer service! The seller was more than accommodating and very trustworthy, I would buy other items from this seller and give this seller another try because the customer service I experienced from them was Top-Noch and not something expected from an amazon seller. I only updated my review because Although I had an issue with my item, you may not have the same issue that I had. But even if you do, Just know this seller will take care of you no matter what your issue is.

I bought my dehydrator in Aug 2022 and it’s only March 2023 - just 6 months of having this and the fan quit working. I would say I used often, but not all the time. I’m so sad that this was not a good buy after all. Not to mention the adjustment only goes by 9 degrees and makes that difficult to dry
things when you can’t reach the exact temp you really need - who does that? Would not recommend. I’ve come back to update my review because after submitting the above, the seller contacted me and wanted to make it right. They offered either a full refund or replacement and I chose a replacement. While I’m not crazy about the 9 degree increments, I do like my unit and I’m grateful the seller reached out to make things right - they didn’t have too. Would definitely recommend to anyone who isn’t worried about the increment limitations - otherwise, it’s a great unit and the seller is too quality to work with.

Works exactly as intended. The shelves are annoying to clean due to the metal being thin and wired as well as wavy so it eats through brillo pads and similar. Super easy to use and comes with a recipe book. DOOR IS IDIOTIC. The way they designed the door you can only get the shelves in and out if the
door is perfectly perpendicular to the opening. Open it just barely too far and you can't get the shelves in or out. It's extremely annoying. Hopefully future versions take this into account. Everything else is perfectly functional and easy to use though. Buttons are touch screen so we unplug the device to make sure the cats can't accidentally turn it on.

Good lil machine. Probably smaller than you would expect but a decent size. This will be my 4th dehydrator and probably my least favorite dry I achieve with this one so far. More crunchy and dried out then I like. Will mess with temps more probably go a little lower than I usually do. Mine were alway

For dehydrating the icing on my cookies and storing them safely! The racks are straight for the most part however the wire meshing came dented or has an uneven surface in some areas of various racks! As long as my cookies are straight then I’m good! So far so good

This is about half the size of a microwave, so it takes up a bit of counterspace, but I wish it were bigger!! If you lack counterspace, this may the perfect size. I haven't tried to clean it. I make sure to use paper on the trays and allow for air to circulate. Sometimes the trays stick when removing them. I am happy enough.
