  • Can I get a yes yes Mr pillow fluff fluff. Oh yes daddy yes mommy
Wow what a great cargo rack. The design is excellent. It's such a great fit, too. The angle at which it sits is adjustable. It has a solid 70 pound carry capacity. I think it's very versatile, fitting most bikes. What a great buy!

  • Great heavy duty rack
First, I will list some shortcomings. 1. It does not include instructions, which is well documented. Some people are complaining about this. However, instructions are available online and I was able to install it easily without them. It is pretty intuitive. 2. Screws included are good quality but they are way too long. If you do not have much clearance, they might touch the spokes. 3. Not much clearance between the seat and the rack unless you move the rack out of the supporting beam. This is a design flaw. The supporting beam should be a little bit longer. Items to watch for: 1. Make sure you do not have any brake or shifter cabling where the supportive legs are attaching. This is by design, if you are not careful, it is your fault. Do not blame the product. 2. If your seat is pretty high above the wheels, and you attach it to your seat post, it might look pretty ridiculous. Mine is like this. But again, that is by design. If you do not have to use the seat post and have attachment points in the body of your bicycle, you may order a different type. 3. Those who have carbon fiber frames should be very careful not to overtighten the clamps. Use a torque wrench if possible. Cf frame owners should also limit their weight expectations considerably since their frame will not be able to carry a heavy load. Pros: 1. I had more than a dozen racks and installed many more during my lifetime. This product is sturdy and built heavy duty. If you do not move out the rack to the back beyond the supporting beam, it would easily carry 180 lbs if not more. However, if you move the rack out, then since there is no support below it, the amount of weight it can carry will drop. This is basic physics. Some reviewers are complaining about the rack being bent while they pulled it out all the way. What can I say, of course, it will! On the other hand, all other racks on the market would bend at that point too. I believe this is the most Heavy-duty rack you can buy in the market. If this fits your bicycle, I would recommend it to everyone. ... show more

  • Universal fit - rigid alloy but can rust!
Great product! Holds up well. With proper installation this cargo rack can even hold beyond the advertised maximum load (at your own risk). Resilient to light rain but vulnerable to rust if stored outdoors long periods. You may want to spray it with a UV resistant clear coat.

  • Well built, flexible install.
I purchased this rack for a folding 20" bike. I appreciate how I had options for making sure it is securely installed. I should note that it's not essential to use all four supports: one could easily use just two, although it wouldn't support the advertised weight. I'm any event, it's a nice, well-made rack. ... show more

  • Good but with flaws
Update: I downgraded my rating from 4 to 3 stars, because I found my pannier is unable to hook on smoothly to this rack. The bolt attaching the rack and its support leg sticks out far enough to prevent the pannier from being able to attach two hooks securely to the rack tube. In order to get a smooth section of tubing to clip my pannier bag to, I had to add 4 p-clamps and a 8" long 1/4" stainless steel tube. If your bike has frame holes to mount a welded rack, definitely go for that option if you plan to use pannier bags. This rack may be the only option if you have a bike without any frame holes, however. Overall, this is a purchase I am happy with, but I see that Amazon now carries another rack from COMINGFIT with 310lbs capacity and more parts to help prevent panniers from catching in the wheel spokes (and it is currently cheaper than this rack). I recommend buying that rack instead! But I willl say this rack is very sturdy, which I was not sure would be possible on my single speed bike which has no holes to mount conventional racks. I think other people having issues with the rack bending is probably because they put the clamp near the tapered end of their seat stay--definitely give your rack a good test before actual use, and move the clamps more toward the center of your seat stay if you must, to get a better grip. To the manufacturers, please replace your long bolts with shorter ones. The long bolts take forever to screw on, and they are dangerously close to the wheel spokes. I ended up swapping some of this rack's long bolts and short bolts, to avoid bolts tpotentially ouching the wheel spokes. Also, the clamp around the seat tube is too wide, and rubs against my right thigh when biking. I could see this irritation rubbing a hole thru my pants over long term use. Please consider reorienting the clamp so that the hinge is toward the front of the bike and the closure is toward the back of the bike, which would let the overall clamp remain slim enough to not interfere with the cyclist's legs ... show more

  • Good for books and groceries, bad for kayaks
I got this rack to carry my school books. I go to university in the US. It is very good for carrying many books. It is also well for carrying small amounts of groceries. It is very strong and sturdy. It is easy to assembly as well. It is so strong that I decided to try and carry a kayak on it. I tied the kayak across the rack. I had to use many strings to keep it mounted. I started to ride my bike down the sidewalk to the lake near campus. I knocked over many people. From now on I will only use this rack to carry books and groceries. It is very good for that. I have hurt no people while carrying books or groceries. ... show more

  • Dangerous!
I bought this rack to have something to place my backpack on while riding my bike into work. My backpack weighs less than 70 lb. After using this for a little over a month I was riding in with my backpack on the rack and the back tubing of the rack broke off which caused my backpack to fall off and me to nearly crash because of the sudden shift in weight. I would strongly not recommend purchasing this product. ... show more

  • Durable and great load bearing
Works great on my e-mountain bike. Over 3 years and still firm & stable. I added 2 saddle bags and a large metal basket on top. Great use for my camera gear (65 lbs) or groceries which I've loaded up to 80+ lbs.
