Overall great value for the price. Some fins were bent, but easy enough to correct. The mounting bracket screw hole was not properly drill to correct size, but easily correctable. Fan is quiet and puts out a nice breeze. The remote is nice and works on all settings. The oscillator function allows you to freeze position and resume as needed. Use your own wall anchors, those included are very cheap and do not work well in drywall. Aside from what I pointed out, it is worth the money. ... show more

Wanted a fan for above my woodstove to force air around the house. The mounting bracket was super easy to use. Ended up mounting it on my brick wall, I will have to get a longer extension cord as the cord hanging looks a little tacky. This fan is awesome, the amount of air it pushes plus how quiet it is even on the highest setting is amazing. The remote itself is not the greatest, cheap plastic, prongs for batteries inside bent and had to be straightened out before would work, and not the best as far as working from a distance. Ordered this one for my daughter's room, liked it so much, just got the second one I ordered installed in another bedroom. With that said...then there's the packaging. Everything just thrown in a box, no packing material at all, this was the same on both fans, everything g loose and just rolling around in there whole in transit. Luckily, all the screws were still in the box, but again, not packed in any kind of bag or anything at all. Both fans came with bent rims in both the front and the back covers. Bent in places on the outside (overall shape) and multiple bent within the covers themselves. I was able to bend them back somewhat but it's still very visible on the front where the bent ones are. I get shipping is free (I'm Prime member idk if that matters or not), but, as a consumer I would expect a product to be packaged much better when the seller knows it's going to be shipped and tossed around like a rag doll in transit. I probably wouldn't be as upset had it been only one, but both fans, two separate orders a couple of days apart, arrived in the same exact shape. Good thing they produce the air flow they do, otherwise they'd definitely be getting sent back. ... show more

    • Quiet + moves lots of air!

We have a small LP stove in a corner of our finished basement (which means that area gets quite warm). I bought this fan to better distribute the heat from the stove throughout the entire basement. I had bought a desktop version of this fan earlier so was already pleased with its basic design (noise & air flow plus the really nice remote control). On this unit I had to mount the fan (only 3 stars but that isn't the fan's fault) in a location that made sense for best air flow. I run the fan at its lowest/quietest speed to move the heated air down a hallway in the basement, through a doorway, then through a home office where it exits through another doorway back into the main room (stove in far corner). I don't use the fan's oscillating feature but really like its timer function as it allows me to shut off the stove yet have the fan (located close to the ceiling just above the stove) run for another 30-60 minutes to move the remaining heat in the cast iron stove throughout the basement. A secondary benefit was finding out last summer that the fan makes the basement more comfortable by creating a small breeze through my home office! A two-fer!!! I have bought a number of somewhat similar fans over the years and feel that this fan (along with its excellent remote control) is the best of all I've owned relative to noise and air flow with the remote control just adding another star (except there isn't room for one). (For what it is worth: I bought another one of these fans to move air through my garage and did so because of where the fan had to be located and the excellent remote control made locating the fan much easier/better as I don't have to stand on a ladder to change anything - which I had to do with the previous fan!) ... show more

    • It is not quiet, it runs too hard on it's lowest setting

Generally it's an okay fan, no worse than anything else out there. My MAIN complaint is the noise. On it's lowest setting it blows hard and is noisy. By noisy I mean the motor noise and the fan blade noise, because it is running to hard. It needs to run at half the speed of its lowest setting. Not only that, when it is on "Pulse" it is constantly turning on and off. So it's hard motor start and noisy, then quiet, hard motor start and noisy, then quiet and just a few seconds apart. It really becomes annoying after a while. We aren't trying to cool a room so much as just to move the air. If you're looking for a quiet fan, keep looking. We've had it wall mounted for almost a year now, and it's developed a good wobble. I imagine it will get worse, but we want to find a better solution anyways. ... show more
