    • Yeouch, how can my back hold so much pain?
I used this way too long the first day and was sore for a few days, then I eased back into using it, and it's really nice, but it can be brutal when it finds how much tension I've been storing. It has a second soft cover, and we can also put towels or more over it to reduce the punch to get started, so we can adjust the strength that way. I do not use the heat, and though I was surprised that the AC adapter was so small, it works, so I'm happy, and so long as the price is low, it's cheaper than one professional massage session, so even if I wear this out and have to replace it occasionally, it's a great comparative value - though it's not misbehaved for me yet ( other older brands have ). This ( and all my seats ) are too short to get much action across my shoulders, and none at my neck, so I have to get creative to lean back into this at the top - I might have to try a chair with a tall back and headrest and see if that pushes this massager into my shoulders better. This was surprisingly quiet enough, even with the seat vibration, for me to use it while my partner and I watched TV from the same love-seat-couch together - no complaints of distraction.     • Height does matter
Note: I am 5’7” with Degenerative Disc issues lumbar L5S1. It’s a great massage cushion, it definitely helped get some knots out of my shoulders. I had to sit on a small pillow to get it low enough for my lumbar area, since the rollers don’t go all the way down to the bottom of the cushion. It didn’t help my back which is what I bought it for, but I’ll keep it for all the other knots I have :) ... show more

This massager was an incredible buy for the price. The massage I get from it is as nice as a would get from a massage therapist. It has helped the pain I was having in my shoulders an upper back!! Totally would recommend this product.

I had an older version of the shiatsu massage chair and after 5 years it finally gave up. After a long and extensive research I decided to try Comfier massage chair. I use this chair almost everyday, either sitting or laying on it but without its top cover. If you’re someone who is sensitive to deep tissue/shiatsu type of massages, the top cover should be on, to decrease the intensity. Pros: beneficial for anyone who has a chronic or acute back pain. Cons: none so far! ... show more

    • Best for mid to lower back
As I said in the headline, it's best for mid to lower back. I think that's only because to get the upper and neck area, I'd probably need a higher backed chair. Otherwise for the mid back and lower back tailbone area, I do like it a lot.

It works those deep deep muscles in the back, you know those ones you can't reach. It is a little rough on the back sometimes, but just follow the instructions and make sure to use the lining and or towel when using, if it seem to rough on your back. But my daughter loves it the pain relief, comfort and a great value for the money.. It doesn't bother her back at all, she just uses the liner no towel, she said it great. ... show more

I had previously been using a neck and shoulder massager to massage my back, but got tired of having to reposition it and deal with having it slip, so I purchased this back massager. The back massager definitely works better for massaging my back, so I am happy with this purchase. The vibrating seat is nice addition too. The only thing I would hope was that it could go just a bit lower on my back, but this isn't a big deal, so overall I am very happy with this product. ... show more
