I tried this same coat on in a store so I thought it was what I wanted before ordering, but I'm just not liking the fit. The medium is a full 5 inches smaller at the hip and I can't even zip, so I'm forced to go with a large, which oddly just fits my 41" hips. The collar is the part I can't get past. I thought I would like that it covers my neck all the time, but it is too tall and so uncomfortable where it hits my face. It makes looking from side to side really uncomfortable because it hits in the wrong place and sticks into my chin and throat. The arms and body are also bulkier than the ones I'd tried on in stores and I confirmed this when I bought the hooded one instead locally. I'm happy with the hooded Powder Lite large and glad I can still return this one. ... show more

I have the powder lite coat and absolutely love it so I wanted to buy the jacket version when I don't need a long coat. I think it's really warm and comfortable. It's light weight so I don't feel like I'm being dragged down like other coats and jackets have made me feel. I'm a medium but I usually size up in coats etc because I like to wear layers, living in New England I think layers are a must. The large fits perfect with a sweater under it. If I were to buy a medium I think it would have been a bit fitted to wear anything thick under it. The zipper pockets are a must for me as well, seeing that I hate carrying bags, and like my phone and wallet to be secure. I didn't mind that this one doesn't have a hood because I usually wear a hat when it cold. ... show more
