This coat deserves more than five stars! It’s so cozy and warm, it’s Columbia, so it’s obviously made well. I love the front & side pockets, as they button/zip closed which I appreciate because I really don’t carry a bag in the winter. I love the option to cinch the waist & the hood is a so soft & fits great. I’m 5’4 &160lbs and the medium fits perfect with room to spare. Highly recommend!

Love this coat! I have a couple of other "puffy" coats, but this one is so soft and does not weigh a ton like another brand that I have. I cannot wait for it to be cold enough for me to wear it this winter. In my experience, Columbia brand runs bigger than some. I love it because I want room for sweaters, etc. underneath without feeling constricted.

I wore this jacket all winter.It's so warm and comfortable and I just love it.I love how it's long.It's not too long.It is just really nice.It does look very poofy and I tend to look kind of like a marshmallow wearing it.But I don't care because it's so warm.It doesn't really matter

This Columbia mid down jacket is the real deal. My first impressions were that the Dark Stone color is classy, the coat is fluffy and warm, that every little detail has been considered and all the construction is flawless. Let’s go through it: The waist and hood both have adjustable pulls, the hood has a cute but understated faux fur, and the wrists have some elastic so you just pull them on and don’t need to manually adjust them to snugly fit without being too tight or too loose. The pockets are exceedingly practical: you can access them from the sides to put your hands in, or unsnap them from the top to store your keys or phone. The only feature you may not be familiar with is the Omni-Heat lining. I have a Columbia vest with the same heat shielding, and it makes the garment VERY warm because it reflects your own body heat back at you. (Don’t worry, it’s not crinkly like a mylar blanket, despite the shiny silver appearance.) Between the cover-your-bum length of this coat, the down interior, and the heat shielding, I believe this jacket will stand up to some bitter cold weather. As a comparison, my Columbia long vest from last season that is not down but that has Omni-Heat is so warm that I happily went hiking in an ice storm and was oblivious to the fact that I was getting covered in ice. The one weakness of this jacket, if there is one, is that it is NOT a raincoat. It will be fine in a drizzle, but if you’ve got a downpour or a wet snow, this may not be your go-to choice. The coat is absolutely built for warmth and insulation, but perhaps not dryness. Overall, this coat is a clear 5-stars for me. It’s both stylish and functional. It’s also comfortable, adjustable, and well-made. I really have no complaints and think that if you can make an investment, this will be in your winter rotation for many, many years to come. It’s now my go-to jacket for cold morning walks, I absolutely love it.

This is a stylish puffer with some nice features that I appreciate in a coat. I love the adjustable drawstring at the waist and two way zipper. This also has a roomy fleece lined hood and warm fleece lined pockets. The material for the inner lining is interesting in that it boasts to be a patented heat reflecting material that retains body heat. I can say this is indeed nice and warm. My one complaint is that the sizing was a bit confusing as the listing offers 6 sizes being: x-small/small/medium/large/x-large/xx-large yet the sizing chart shows 5 sizes that are shown as: 0-2/4-6/8-10/12-14/16-18. I took a chance getting size large and it’s bigger on me than I wished. I’ll still wear this but I feel and medium would have suited me better and would have looked a little nicer on. Hope the sizing confusion can be fixed so others won’t have to do the guessing I had to do and wind up not as happy with the fit. Again it’s a great coat but I am docking a star for the sizing issue.
