This jacket fits very well. I like that it is longer but not too long. The jacket is not bulky but slim/relaxed fitting. I purchased another jacket (different brand) and it looked cheap. I bought this coat for my Iceland trip and was super happy with it. I chose the coat because of it length and kept my back and legs warm. It is lightweight but very warm and is water repellant (useful with the all waterfalls in Iceland). The zipper was easy to size and the hood with the faux fur surprisingly kept my face warm from the icy winds. I am a size IT38 and small fit me perfectly (over two base layers and vest). **Origional review 5 stars** I bought this coat for winter chores in Kansas where it can get below zero, and we often have the brisk winds. I am 5'5", 130 lbs, small chest, 11" upper arms. I originally ordered a medium. If I was using this for commuting , this size would have been perfect. The sleeves hit at the base of my thumbs and the coat ended about 3" above the knee. The shoulders and arms fit without feeling binding with a lightweight long sleeve shirt on, however, was snug in the arms with a sweatshirt and pulled across the back when I moved. Because I need it for chores, I wanted more length and the ability to layer so I ordered the large. The sleeves cover to just past the base of my fingers and the coat goes to my knees. I can comfortably wear a shirt with flannel shirt or a sweatshirt layered under the coat. The coat is warm. I was starting to sweat in it while testing the layering system so I'm confident it will work when I'm out doing chores. A couple reviews mentioned gaps in the hood between buttons allowing wind in. The hood itself is sewn on. The faux fur is buttoned on and did gap, but I realized it was put on my hood backwards. I buttoned it on so the fur faced the inside of the hood, then folded it back on itself so the fur faced out. This covers the seam and there were no gaps. I don't know about the look, but when i adjust the hood strings, it does give a little more coverage around the face to block out the bitter winds. **UPDATE dropped to 4 stars ** I left the coat on the back porch, it was 50 deg. I went out to feed the horses and it was 30 deg no wind. I had on a t-shirt and could feel the chilly silver lining against my body. It wasn't really cold, but was not warm either. It never heated up from my body temperature after 1/2 hour of chores. I brought the coat into the house. Went to feed and it was 23 deg with 9mph winds. I wore a long sleeve t-shirt this time. Despite being in a 78 deg house (you can thank my elderly mother for that) the silver lining still felt chilly. I went inside and put on a lightweight flannel shirt over the long sleeve t-shirt. This time I could not feel the silver lining, but was not "toasty" warm, just comfortable. If I was not moving around I probably would have felt a little chilly. I will definitely need thicker layers as the temperature drops. As to durability, I walked too close to a hedge apple tree branch and thorns snagged the shoulder of the coat. When I got inside, I couldn't find any markings from the thorns. I put the coat in the house ... show more

    • Fits my curvy figure
After trying on, and looking for many many Parkas, this one fit my curvy, pear shape. It is super warm, zips up and down comfortably. I like the extra snaps for a super warm closure with the zipper or just a quick snap closure. The color is more of a muted black, but I still like it ..it just surprised me. The hood has a Velcro strap in the back which makes it more manageable if you just want a little bit covering you or if you really want to lose your head in it. It’s not too heavy compared to many that I tried on and the longer length is also a bonus as it doesn’t cut right as the widest part of the thigh. The sleeves are very long but I was able to fold them back inside and they stay fine. That would be the only drawback unless you like that look. Really like the stone color. it's not white white, not quite gray. so it feels very neutral. I am curvy and bought size XXL to fit over my hoodies and thick sweaters. Fits just fine. The collar goes up over the nose for added wind protection. Will need to fluff up the fur trim when it arrives because it was a bit smash for packaging. The fleece lining in the hood and the reflective insulation inside are perfect. I don't feel the cold at all. Long coat falls to just above my knees. ... show more
