Nice coat. True to size and good zipper. I'm 5' 3" and 128 lbs. The size small gave me room for cozy layers. It's warm and comfy. The pockets are tricky, because they aren't at a natural angle for hands to slip into. I'm taking off a star and returning it, because of the pockets, and because I ordered black, but it's actually dark gray/charcoal. If you're looking for a black coat, this isn't it. The lining is black, and you can see the outside fabric of the coat compared to the lining in this photo. ... show more

I have several Columbia jackets and love how warm they are, long lasting, and that I can feel I have somewhat a fashionable look even in winter. I have one Columbia jacket that lasted for 10 years (!!) This gray coat is no exception to Columbia quality. I got it thinking I would use it for late fall, but it’s warm enough for sure to use in winter. I’ll rotate this one in with my other short jacket from them and very long jacket. This coat is beautiful. It is heavier than I usually wear and is water resistant. The hood is huge and I have a head that is on the higher end of average (over 22 inches). The color is very vibrant and it both zips and buttons with huge pockets in the front and a zipper pocket on the breast which is plenty big enough for a phone. No pockets on the inside, which I wish it had since I will be traveling in the winter in Europe and that would keep my passport and money safer. This coat is not for temperatures above freezing in my opinion (but I live in a northern state and am used to the cold). It is also longer than the usual winter jacket, which is great. Bought this for my mom. Who is 4'8" 105 lbs. The jacket is warm, well made, and looks nice, but the sleeves are way too long. The fit in the body is good, but the arm length is completely off and makes the jacket feel oversized. Good quality, but the sleeve sizing is disappointing.
