This was my only black Friday purchase. I became frustrated with the rapid decline of rothco's products and wanted a change. Kept me cozy in 20-40 degree weather, once it hit 7 degrees I needed to have thermals on underneath. Cell phone pocket is so handy. Build quality seems to be better than some other columbia purchases I've made recently.u Coat is incredibly flattering and gives you an hourglass shape. True to size and a little form fitting on top. If you like to layer with bulky things I would size up. The fur on the hood is a little cheap looking but I don't hate it. Only issues I've noticed: no toggles for the drawstrings on the hood so they don't stay exactly how I'd like. I also wish this coat had a zipper vent for when things get a little sweaty.

I spend huge amounts of time outside whether it be hiking, walking, biking, birding, etc. but I refuse to wear down. My last Columbia jacket lasted me 3 years and I finally decided to replace it because it had holes and rips everywhere. I love a jacket that covers my behind and goes down my thighs to help keep me warm. The sizing is pretty spot on. I normally wear a size large in coats but due to needing to layer in the winter, I bought an XL. It was a little big but nothing too crazy. Fits wonderfully when I have a hoodie and a Patagonia micro-puff jacket under it. Pros: Water resistant, cute, length is great, price was good, comfortable and decently warm! Instead of an inside breast pocket, there is an outside breast pocket which at first I was annoyed about but now I love because I don’t have to unzip my jacket to get into it. Cons: The hood is weird. Without the fake fur, it’s a shallow hood that doesn’t really work. With the fake fur, it’s a lot better but there are gaps where it connects and wind can get through. I resolve it by adding a beanie and an additional hood from a hoodie. Also, good luck washing it! Followed the instructions and the fake fur on the lowest delicate setting, singed the whole thing. Another downside is it’s warm but not insanely warm. If you spend hours outside in the cold weather, like 30 degrees or colder, you NEED to layer. I wear base layers, a hoodie, a Patagonia micro-puff jacket and then this. Obviously I have other accessories to keep warm but this is just regarding my arms/midsection. I am chronically ill, have small fiber neuropathy as well as dysautonomia, so my circulation isn’t great. I understand I might have to be a bit more extreme than others. I would definitely buy again although I hope this lasts me years to come!

After trying on, and looking for many many Parkas, this one fit my curvy, pear shape. It is super warm, zips up and down comfortably. I like the extra snaps for a super warm closure with the zipper or just a quick snap closure. The color is more of a muted black, but I still like it ..it just surprised me. The hood has a Velcro strap in the back which makes it more manageable if you just want a little bit covering you or if you really want to lose your head in it. It’s not too heavy compared to many that I tried on and the longer length is also a bonus as it doesn’t cut right as the widest part of the thigh. The sleeves are very long but I was able to fold them back inside and they stay fine. That would be the only drawback unless you like that look. Overall, I’m super happy with this coat for an amazing price.

I love this jacket so much. Had it for 3 years, then it started to thin oit just slightly but was still very warm - gave it to my mom who loved it too and got another one just like it! The most perfect jacket ever. Just make sure you never run it it anywhere even for a second. You will sweat like crazy even in the freezing cold. Completely waterproof, the hood is great, and since it's a bit longer the option to unzip from the bottom is great.
