Love the coat. This coat is true to size. I am 5'4" around 200 lbs. I bought a 2X. The coat is cozy and love that it zips up. I think I could possibly have gotten a XL but thinking that I may wear a sweatshirt or sweater underneath it gives me the extra room. It fits well and does not make me look too boxy like some coats. I feel it is made to be loose and comfortable but also to show our curves and waistline. The only con is that the sleeves are too long for me. This is always an issue for me so I always just roll up the sleeves because I am just 5'4" and kind of chunky so my arms are shorter. I think somebody with longer arms that are probably 5'6" or taller the arms would work great. So give it try. ... show more

Very nice quality coat, so incredibly warm I roasted in it just trying it on in house, should work wonders to keep colds bite off playing in the snow! HOWEVER, it is true to size and a form fitting style so it is snug fit as suggested in reviews. I am a size 1x and there's room in the arms for a thin to medium thickness sweater. Size up is recommended for a tad looser fit. The hood sits high up on shoulders but will be cozier in chilly windy weather, but I wished it was detachable. My arms are just over average length and it fit fine so if you are taller with long arms you should be fine; shorter arms prepare to hem, roll, or push up sleeves. ONE LAST THING, the color Black looks more like a dark charcoal, on the upside of that, it makes the fleece look like velveteen from 5 ft away. Why i deducted 1 star from a 5-star coat, the Black needs to be Black! No real complaints and happy with purchase! Would buy again in other color and do recommend buying it. ... show more

Cozy, very warm, soft fabric and long enough to cover the bottom of the trunk, which I was desperately needing for frigid weather. BUT, while the zippers function well, the hand pocket zippers were miserable for me; harsh, scratchy, skin-scraping. Too late to send back, i’d already worn it. I managed to cut out the zippers with tiny “swan” scissors, avoiding nicking the fabric or seams. Took a longgg time, lot of patience but I can use the pockets now. Just know, if that if it could be a problem for you, avoid this one. Surprised at Columbia for missing this detail. ... show more
