I’m really impressed with this jacket. It lives up to the trusted reputation of the Columbia brand and has become a staple in my wardrobe for colder days. What stands out: • The fleece fabric is soft yet surprisingly warm — I wore it on a crisp fall evening and stayed comfortable without needing a bulky coat.  • The full-zip design makes it easy to throw on, zip up when the wind picks up, and unzip when I’m indoors. The high collar gives added protection around the neck.  • The modern but clean cut works well both for outdoor use (hikes, casual walks) and everyday wear. I appreciate that it doesn’t look “too technical” or out of place in a casual setting. • It’s a solid value for the price—several folks have called it a reliable “go-to” fleece from Columbia.  A few small notes: • If you’re very tall or need extra length in the torso, check the size guide. It runs “regular classic/modern fit” so someone with a taller frame might consider trying a tall size or checking measurements.  • While it offers good warmth, if you face very strong winds, you might still want a outer shell over it — this is fleece, not a windproof shell.

Fully fleece jackets seen to have gone out of style. This one is the same great quality of the Columbia Steens Mtn 1.0 fleece jacket it replaced, which gets me through temperatures at or a little below freezing. The only difference I see is the lack of a chest zippered pocket. Still has two zippered side pockets, a drawstring around the waste if it's windy cold, and nice thick elastic at the wrists. Ordered black and it is more charcoal, which is fine. My old jacket was XXL, this one is an XL and more than adequate. Definitely not fitted like a lot of other jackets. I also looked at North Face Yumiori but like this better, the feel of the fleece and the elastic at the wrists.

Shaped a bit like a bag; I like Patagonia better. Its warmer than expected, but very thin and fairly comfortable. It doesn't regulate temperature as well as other fleeces and has to be unzipped partially to be comfortable at times because it gets sweaty. I can see light through the fabric and is very thin and seams are done cheap. Zipper isn't bad but feels thin. I don't expect it to last more than a few seasons before it becomes a yard work jacket. Its washable, but expect it will pill after a few. I don't dare put it in a warm dryer. Air fluff and hang to dry. I guess it's not bad for half the price of Patagonia or LL Bean.

My old one is still great, but it's 10 years old and as I suspected, a brand new one that hasn't been through the washing machine 100 times is much warmer. I'll still keep the old one for back up, though. And I might be a little more careful about how I wash and dry this one.

Comfortable & Elegant Color Combination This Fleece Jacket is very comfortable. The contrast between the 2 hues of blue are great ! Have another jacket of this exact same one but in grey with green . Would recommend for a formal & stylish purchase .

I love this fleece jacket; Columbia has my vote for one of the best value for money brands out there. Very nice quality, very nice fit. Note: I was encouraged to order to size, which is normally XL. However, I found the L to fit perfectly. Easy 5-stars.
