We live in Western Washington state, and these waterproof pants will come in handy. My husband is 5'11" and these have a little extra length at the bottom to cover your shoes. Large (his usual size) fit well with a pair of jeans underneath. They have a double layer of material but no soft lining-it's all sort of a rain jacket feel. ... show more

One of the things that I like about Columbia is that they include tall people in their sizing. I'm 6'5" with long legs in comparison to my body length. This can make finding pants that fit a challenge sometimes. Being able to order a "Tall" makes a difference. The overall fit is good. These pants are a little on the baggy side but given that, in most cases, I will be wearing them over other pants, having that extra room is a good thing. The quality of construction is good -- as I have come to expect with Columbia. The one that thing that I can't really review just yet is how rain proof they are. Unfortunately, we are in our dry season and it will be a few months before the first rains come. If there are any problems that become apparent at that time, I will update this review accordingly. ... show more
