  • Warm, Light, Effective
Size: X-Large Color: Black/Black
I bought this for the beau to better survive our second Detroit Winter. Temperatures have been at or below freezing everyday with plenty of snow and some very windy days thrown in for the month and a half he's had this jacket. He makes a 6 mile round trek for work and uses this jacket everyday and it has already made this Winter easier for him. The Fit: He's an XL kind of guy so I got him an XL jacket, which fits him well though there is enough room to layer with his hoodie underneath. The hood can't be tightened so he wears a hat as well. Insulation: He's a furnace and produces a lot of body heat. The shiny interior reflects a lot of that heat back to him, keeping him warm. Adding his hoodie actually diminishes the warmth because it's soaked up into the hoodie rather than being reflected back, and creating two air gaps that need to be warmed rather than the one. Long sleeves and long johns work well and do not have the hoodie issue. On really cold days, like 20*F or less, he puts on an outer layer. Quality and Durability: He's only been wearing it for a month but only a few feathers have managed to wiggle out, the stitching looks secure (though harder to tell on dark material), and the material does a good job insulating and has not torn. I would say this is a good quality jacket. Packability: we both like to backpack so I chose this jacket because a previous review talked about the packability while in the Backcountry. When squished as small a ball as I could get it, it almost fit into a quart Ziploc bag. It's not a bad price for something that can pack small(ish) and doesn't weigh a lot but still keeps you warm in subfreezing temps. He loves this jacket because it is light weight, comfortable, and most importantly, because it is effective. I highly recommend this jacket. ... show more

  • Wow. Absolutely wow.
Size: 5X Tall Color: City Grey
Beyond words. Can we say that this was created by an alien race, not of this earth? (Sorry Vietnam no ill intent towards you just high praise) This is the lightest warmest winter jacket I have ever owned. I am baffled by how super light this winter jacket is. In fact I have to come back and check twice to see if this is really a jacket or a liner to a jacket. It is really incredible how this jacket out performs all my previous winter jackets I have ever tried and happily returned and tested in 10/degrees weather. Ok now to let's get down to money is it worth the money? Yes! You can't find anything better at this price point with this technology costing any less than this. It is worth every penny I think. It probably should have costed more than $400, I only paid $160. ... show more

  • NICE!
Size: Medium Color: City Grey
Looks nice ! Great mid tone gray color. It's nice that it doesn't look and feel bulky. It's true to size. Wasn't sure about the hood but it'll come in handy in case I need it.

  • Super warm for the weight
Size: X-Large Color: Black/Black
Ordered this about a month ago and have worn it on many errands and long walks. Its gotten down into the low 30s and even high 20's on a couple of occasions and it has kept me very warm. On every occasion I have to open up the jacket because I get too warm. I wore just a long sleeve t shirt on my walk yesterday...again in the 30's and had to open it up. I have their omni tech fleece and know how warm it is so I knew what I was getting. The coat is super light for the heat it provides. I have noticed a couple of feathers leak out but nothing like others have mentioned and feathers do occasionally leak out of any down garment I've ever owned so it's not been a concern for me so far. The only con is the hood because you can't cinch it down. If the wind is to the back or sides it protects well but if it's a head wind, the hood bellows out and lets the air in. You can't pull it tight with a draw string or strap. In situations where I know it'll be windy I'll wear a head wrap or stocking cap and it's fine. Outside of that, there is nothing I dislike about the jacket and even that is a minor annoyance. Update 12/8/20 Jacket still holding up fine. I wore it in 33 degree weather with 6-10 mph breeze and a light t-shirt underneath and sweated so....it's warm and I'd still buy it again ... show more

  • Great jacket
Size: X-Large Color: Black/Black
It is hit and miss buying clothes on Amazon. My daughter and her husband live 1400 miles away. I bought a cheaper no name brand on here for him and had to send it back. Size marked was way too small. Then, I order this one in his size. Fits perfect. He is so happy. It's thin but very warm. They are in Massachusetts. ... show more

This Omni heat thing is legit. Super warm and works great. Haven’t needed my wind yet coat yet.

  • Terrible design and sewing
Size: X-Large Color: City Grey
The zipper on the both left and right pockets of the jumper wraps around the fabric almost every time, and the zipper does not go up and down properly. It is obvious that the design is wrong or the sewing is poor.

  • Warm and super light weight
Size: Medium Color: Red Jasper
I wanted something light, comfortable, and warm for morning walks with the dog. This is all of those things. I wore it this morning with just a long-sleeve fleece shirt underneath and was comfortable in 35 degree air with a mild wind.
