  • Great non-winter boot
Size: 10 Wide Color: Shark, Black
I've been using these boots for about a year now and they've met almost all of my expectations. Knocking 1 star off mainly due to these not keeping your feet warm in the slightest. I know these aren't advertised as winter boots, but I have tennis shoes that keep my feet warmer than this boot does in the winter. I pretty much have to double up on socks in the winter if I use these boots. But for the positives though, these boots are rugged. I've taken them on numerous hikes in the Rockies this past year and the tread on the bottom has shown nearly no wear and provide amazing grip. These will probably last several more years at this pace (and I'm rough on my boots). The waterproofing is excellent. I've trudged through plenty of soggy deep mud without any issue. I was also hiking a 14er yesterday that required a creek crossing and I lost my footing on the rocks and had to step into the water to prevent a fall. The water came up nearly to the top of the boot and my feet were perfectly dry. Not a single drop of water got in. I was able to just continue walking in the water without issue. Even other boots advertised as waterproof have not faired that well, especially if the water hits the mesh of the tongue which happened with these. If you don't do much winter hiking, or if your winters are fairly mild, these are a great pickup. ... show more

  • Very comfortable
Size: 12 Wide Color: Elk, Mountain Red
I love the look of these boots. Styled after the '80s hiking boot without that added weight. They're very comfortable and light. They say waterproof personally I don't feel that any hiking boot is going to be 100% waterproof. If you walk through a creek and it comes up over the rubber sole it's possible your feet are going to get wet. I feel water resistant would be a better terminology. I did treat the boots with a waterproofer prior to wearing them just for added protection and the ability to clean them easier. ... show more

  • Holy
Size: 13 Color: Dark Brown, Dark Grey
These are not only the most comfortable boots I had ever owned, but they may be the most comfortable footwear of any kind I have ever owned. They fit me literally perfect... they are literally perfectly comfortable and supportive in every way. There is no better pocket to slide my tootsies into. For the price I got them at ($50 BF deal) I should have bought another pair. ... show more

  • Simple, but (so far) sturdy hiking boots
Size: 9.5 Color: Dark Grey, Gold Amber
Bought these for short hikes around my home on gravel/mud paths, some of them quite steep and slippery. The boots fit great. I usually wear size 9 shoes, so I went for size 9 1/2 for these boots. They give good support around the heel and when hiking up and down steeper paths, I feel very secure and the sole has good grip. I can't really tell about the sturdyness/longevity of the boots yet, since I have not worn them long enough. So far, they seem to be holding up really well after the first couple of hikes. At the price I paid ($59), I can fully recommend them. ... show more

  • Columbia Goes for Vintage Mountaineering Look
Size: 9.5 Color: Elk, Mountain Red
Decades ago, shoe maker / seller Thom McAn sold a mountaineering boot famed for its red laces and tan suede upper. It appears that Columbia was trying to capture that look. The boots fit snugly on my feet, which is my preference, as my feet are not wide. I have yet to test these under all conditions. At $70, these were a fair buy. ... show more

  • Look great!
Size: 11 Wide Color: Elk, Mountain Red
I love the look of these boots. My only complaint is there is zero cushioning in them. I plan on buying a neutral arch support to make them comfortable.

  • Runs small
Size: 11 Wide Color: Dark Brown, Dark Grey
had to send them back. i always wear size 11 wide. These were too short. I ordered another pair, size 12, and am still waiting for delivery. Not too impressed cause Amazon says the size 12 boot is sent by a third party and it's not working out very well.

  • Amazing Hiking Boots
Size: 11 Color: Dark Brown, Dark Grey
I purchased these for a ten day trip to Colorado and Utah. I wore them around the house to try them out. They felt good so they were the ones I picked over Danners, Keen, etc. it was a wise decision. We hiked three national parks, a national forest and state/local areas. These were comfortable, dry (it poured at Blue Lake), warm (tundra over 12,000 feet), and light (just 2 times the weight of slip on Sketchers). The traction was excellent. No blisters or any other issues. I wore wool socks as I always do when doing serious hiking, which probably added to the comfort. Don’t hesitate to buy these! ... show more
