  • super pleased
Color: Blue Jay, Columbia Navy Size: Medium
My jacket arrived earlier than predicted so that made me happy as I prepare to travel to the tropics. It is light and lines with mesh to allow for breathing of humidity in mild exercise and walking. I just tested it with the sprayer from the sink with warm water and the water ran off like running off plastic. Very happy with that level of waterproofing. I am wider in the shoulder than the chest measurements so this was just right over light shirts. If a person has a size 42 chest, I would recommend going with the extra large size to allow for freedom of movement and ventilation of moisture. The color is good and the side zipper pockets are a plus. I wore it in the house at 72 degrees and it was not too warm, so I believe it will be great in warmer climates. I am very happy that I found this jacket for my trip. I may purchase another like it in the future. For light travel and warmer weather rain protection, I highly recommend this jacket. ... show more

  • Quality for price
Color: Blue Jay, Columbia Navy Size: Medium
I ordered one of the cheaper jackets on Amazon, and that didn’t turn out well, and returned, then found this and though I’m not a fan of Columbia(don’t get me started), at least I know the brand well, and found the orange-red chili color for twenty five but Amazon showed it would take a month to deliver(watch out when ordering), so I looked again and then saw the blue one for twenty nine and ordered. Came with a retail price tag of seventy five. Whatever all that means. Was looking for a cheap rain jacket that works, that was all. I’m a short guy at 5’4” and 165lbs, 41-42” chest, and usually wear a 31-32 waist. I ordered a medium and it feels exactly half a size larger, likely tailored just a tad larger to give room for layers underneath. Being short, I expected the sleeves to be long on me, but they weren’t egregiously so, and the Velcro holds at wrists so sleeve length doesn’t seem like a big problem. This isn’t exactly like a fitted jacket but half and half between a windbreaker style and old fashioned raincoat. It’s a bit baggy and roomy. The cut is rather “universal” and I wish was a bit more slim and flattering but this way will fit most body types. Not a big deal tho. It does have a packable pocket inside for packing the jacket into but I haven’t tried it since I want to keep the DWR intact as long as possible before my hiking trip and don’t want to wrinkle up severely beforehand. The packable pocket is vented netting which I imagine would be friendly for wet jackets though I still wouldn’t pack a wet jacket for more than a day cause mold. I haven’t tried the waterproofing either but I bought this for hiking and later monsoon seasons in Southeast Asia, and so I got a backup poncho anyways, and the jacket label says waterproof(look picture), so yeah, it ain’t one of those windbreakers that some salesman is trying to sell as a rain jacket. I’m sure it will be fine for my use. The craftsmanship and manufacturing seems very well done, and all in all, can say for sure for thirty bucks was a bargain. Happy with it, though I kinda did like that red chili color better. This is one of those rain jackets that scream, “hey don’t judge my baggy fit cause I’m a raincoat,” and the orange color fits that a bit better imo. Too bad orange wasn’t in stock when I ordered, but the blue looks good too. The jacket does look and feel quality for a lowly rain jacket. Thumbs up. ... show more

  • Good quality
Color: Blue Jay, Columbia Navy Size: Large
These coats are more on the loose fit side which is what I was looking for. It is nice that you can adjust the sleeves at the end. It also has foldable hood which is nice. Though they help you in the rain, they do not do a good job protecting from cold weather. Overhaul a good quality rain coat from Columbia for a reasonable price. ... show more

  • Great for $25, hard pass for 75.
Color: Stone Green Size: XX-Large
it's half shell half jacket. Worth $25. For the original price I can get an Omni tech Columbia that three times better than this. Barely any lining. It'll keep the rain off for a while, but like anything else it will eventually soak through. This isn't Gore-Tex. It's nylon. One drawstring on the left. Hood comes packed. Big fit. i'm 5'11 290 right now and I can wear XXL no problem. No big, no tall, no XXXL. The XL would fit. ... show more

  • rain proof/warmer than expected/nice pockets
Color: Mountain Red, Graphite Size: Large
I ordered an XL which usually wear but returned for large, which fits perfect even over 2-3 other layers. The pockets are nice, deep, lined and zip. The hood neatly closes with velcro so doesn't hang. The sleeves have an adjustment. There is a built in packable pocket on the side. It says Columbia and people have stopped and asked where got it and surprised how inexpensive it was. It is not vented so can get warm especially if wearing in the car; I try take off when in car. ... show more

  • Good value for the price.
Color: Black Size: Large Tall
The tall size fits me perfectly. This is a very versatile jacket. Good for wet weather and also doubles as a windbreaker. Can be rolled up into a compact size for storing or carrying in a backpack.

  • Perfect light weight jacket
Color: Black, Grill Size: Medium
I purchased this jacket for my dad as a gift. He lives in FL where it is hot and rainy. He wanted something lightweight and breathable that would he could wear when it rains and it not be a plastic sauna bubble, like a lot of the other types of rain jackets. He loves it! He said it has just enough ventilation so that your not sweating. But it's comfortable and keeps the rain out. It also fit him really well, and it seems to be true to size. He seems really happy with it! ... show more
