This heavy box was well packed and the instructions were very clear. The wood looks high quality and all pieces in pristine condition,, including 2 glass doors.. All parts were well marked. You will need a good quality philips head screwdriver (preferably a drill), as well as a flathead screwdriver to tighten the screw locks. They supply a small Allen wrentch, but its used for 4 screws, all of the rest are Philips. I'm a novice at this, it took me about 2 hours, but really found it easy to assemble by following the instructions carefully. It has to be easy if I figured out how to put it together by myself! ISSUES: Tricky to get all the top cover pins aligned so the top was flush to the body of the unit. Also, the fireplace was difficult to secure the way they direct you, as it was impossible to reach the inside screw holes, so I skipped that and just supported it using the back clamps. The instructions were vague as to which direction the upper magnet piece went for the doors. My philips screwdriver stripped trying to attach the metal plates for the magnetic doors. Get them flush, for If they stick out even the slightest, the door won't connect to the magnet correctly and comes open easily. There were no predrilled holes in back of the unit to screw in the 2 backings, so I hammered them in, as they gave additional stability and were important to attach. REVIEW:It looks beautiful in my room. Yes it's a slightly fake looking fire, but it is pleasant and relaxing. You can always purchase a different insert if you prefer a more realistic looking fire. Was easy to put together if you have put together furniture before, if not these instructions were not that great. Once put together though it is beautiful and sturdy. Love the jewels for the fireplace effect. Only down side is the heater doesn't have a thermostat, so if you turn it on it stays on. Love the look though. ... show more

Purchased about a month ago. It is cute and small, which works because I have a small place. I don't typically pay extra for assembly but I did and would do it again. The first guys that were here were really kind, but that one was damaged out if the box so we had to send it back. They were unable to exchange, so have to just return and re-buy. The second guys were fine too and the job got done. The right door is janky and sticks, so I just don't really open it or mess with it. Wasn't worth sending it back again and seems consistent with other reviews I've read. It's still hot in AZ so I haven't used the heat yet. The roomba doesn't fit under it but the broom does, so good enough. I also ordered and paid for the insurance but have yet to recieve anything, even after emailing. First Amazon review I’ve had to give negative feedback on. Instructions to put this together were easy, but the pre-drilled holes were horrendous. I’m an architect, I know how to build. This is hardly my hardest project. I pieced this together and attempted to make everything flush but the pre-drilled holes wouldn’t allow that. The doors subsequently won’t close and they just swing open. The whole thing looks terrible and you can see gaps. Horrible product, looks good in the pics though. I am trying to find out how to get my $ back, but there’s no way I’m boxing this back up to ship out. STAY AWAY!!!! ... show more

Fairly easy to put together. Step by step had few words but lots of pictures. We were hoping it would be a little lighter in color, but its good looks makes up for it . Easily holds a 50” TV. Plenty of space for other electronic devices. About five hours for this 88 year old to assemble.

Yes it's pretty to look at from the front, but it was a nightmare to put together. The instructions aren't very helpful. Only gives pics to look at and some of them are kind of hard to tell exactly what's going on. The inside back part has some damage but isn't very noticeable since one of the shelves covers it. It's very flimsy and doesn't feel sturdy at all. Just picking it up to move makes all the pieces want to come apart. And we tightened everything. I don't understand what's going on with it. Plus the back cover was suppose to have like 16 screws in it to keep it on but only came with 2 screw holes. So the whole thing is just hanging back there. We are planning on getting a bigger TV and we really hope it can support the weight. For the price it should be better. ... show more

As a single 24 year old 5’4 female i somehow got this packet up 2 flights of stairs by myself. Easily over 100lbs so definitely recommend having a 2nd helper put this together- it it wasn’t for my friend i honestly would have had a lot harder of a time doing it. The directions aren’t the best but common sense can help fill the flaws on the flow of the packet. Happy with my purchase serves the purpose i need it for and puts out very strong heat power for when using it for warmth. Love my new stand!!!! It is made out of a similar to IKEA cheap wood material but i don’t have much use for it besides to hold my tv and books. If you are wanting it to hold more heavy material i would suggest a higher quality grade of this kind of fireplace. ... show more
