Excellent tent! Took for a week vacation in Wyoming with my family of 4! Had plenty of room! The dark room feature was on point! I'm a frequent solo camper and the setup was quite easy doing it on my own. But, it definitely took longer than 5 minutes if you're setting it up by yourself! More like 15 minutes, but still not too bad! The blackout feature of this tent is on point! Even during the daytime it is still very dark inside(I actually have to use my lantern inside the tent during the day!), which is the main reason why I purchased it- so I can sleep in longer without the disruption of the bright sun waking me up. I would say it would be comfortable for 2 people for this tent, but definitely not 4. Even for a solo camper like myself, it was the perfect size, I had my sleeping cot in there and all my gear and luggage/clothes, so all my stuff took up most of the space including the porch area. So I'd advise this 4 person tent for 2 people and under. I'm 5'1" and unfortunately, the height of this tent is shorter than me. So, I kinda have to crouch my head, but it's fine because the center height of the tent is 4'8" - so basically 5" shorter than me, which is manageable. Not sure if taller folks would be too fond of it though. I used this tent for the first time in early February and it was pretty cold at night with temperatures around 30°F to 36°F. I managed to stay pretty warm, with of course the extra help of wearing layered clothing and thick blankets. But I'm sure the material of the tent also added the extra comfort of staying warm during the evening. The durability of the poles is a miss unfortunately, that's the only negative thing I would have to say about it. During the first setup and breakdown of the tent I noticed the internal cord of the pole was nearly torn through and on the verge of breaking. But, there is a warranty on the tent, so thankfully Coleman is sending me a new replacement pole free of charge! Haven't received the new poles yet so I'm hoping they are going to be the right fit/size for this tent. I'm not sure how it'll farewell during summer time, but I'm looking forward to using it during that time! And I'll post an update for this review after I get in some more uses! ... show more

I was looking for a light weight tent and packs small and had features like a screen room with a floor. I tried the 4 person mainly for solo camping and thought it would fit my needs. Setup is a easy enough for a solo camper. Sadly, they don't make 4 person tents with a high ceiling, you get that with 6, which is way too massive for solo camping. Main issue I had with this is the front door zipper, not easy to unzip. The inner zipper is totally fine however. Secondly, while it's a full mesh, with the rain fly, it's literally blacked out with the dark room version, whole great for sleeping...you get 0 windows in the main cabin if you have the rain fly on. Speaking of darkroom, it didn't help with temperature, especially with the rain fly on and no breeze coming through. Good thing about this tent is that is built nicely with thick seams/stitching. ... show more

Purchased this for my wife to use at music festivals. She loves the blackout feature, and how easy it is to set up by herself. It’s big enough for her tall twin mattress and other gear, and she likes that vestibule can be wide open or covered/sealed with the rainfly. Would’ve been five stars but there was a 3 pencil hole sized punctures in the rainfly when we set it up the first time, which was the day it arrived. Easy fix with tenacious tape, but just annoying that it came from the factory like that. ... show more

Tent directions are generalized and difficult to understand. Does not break it down in steps. The material and straps felt very cheap. So cheap that two of them ripped in the set up process. Wound not recommend this tent.

The tent is well made. The xtra space the screen room provides is very nice, but leaks. The darkroom technology is just that. Very dark inside. You need a good light to see inside even during the day. Feels like a cave.
